We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for Singapore and for the burden you carry for the native-born people and for provision and employment there.
We have continued to lift up your request before the Lord and we have been praying that He would provide for every household and family that is struggling and that He would grant wisdom to employers and leaders in the nation. We understand your deep desire to see your fellow citizens cared for and to see work restored and households provided for, and we share that concern with you. At the same time we have been praying that the Lord would shape all our prayers according to His heart and His Word, which calls us both to trust Him for our daily provision and to love our neighbor and to show kindness to the stranger among us. Scripture reminds us that God calls us to provide for our own household as in 1 Tim 5:8, and also that we are to love the sojourner as ourselves in Lev 19:34 and to love our enemies and pray for those who we see as opposed to us in Matt 5:44, and that He desires all people to come to repentance in 2 Pet 3:9. We have therefore been praying for a just and compassionate provision for Singaporeans who are seeking work, for integrity and fairness among employers, for wisdom for those in authority as in Rom 13:1, and for peace and flourishing for the whole nation as in Jer 29:7, while also asking God to guard our hearts from anger or malice and to fill us with His love and mercy toward all people.
We continue to seek the Lord with you for His perfect will to be done, for His provision to be made visible, and for His glory to be shown in how His people love one another and even those who are strangers among us.
If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We pray that the Lord will meet the needs of you and your fellow citizens, grant peace to Singapore, grant wisdom to its leaders, and conform our hearts ever more to the likeness of Christ, and we ask all this in Jesus Name, Amen.
