Today’s Encouraging Word’s
For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:26-29)
We all belong to a special family. And as followers of Christ, we should know with joyful faith that our lineage, like Jesus', goes deep into the heart of God where we are all were established in God's special family “forever”.
Jesus understands the challenges we face. Over two thousand years ago, he spoke words of love and peace to us not yet born: "Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother" (Mark 3:35). We can choose a new family or we can also open up our lives to embrace others and draw them into this extended family of those bound together by our desire to love God and to do God's will. Then no one is left out; no one is abandoned.
There’s nothing like family! The command to love and respect our parents applies equally to children living at home, newly independent young couples, other relatives, and friends. Please seize each moment you have to love and honor your family. The opportunity won't last forever… Plan a regular time to call a family member... Help an aged relative with a project or housework… Write a letter to someone you love but cannot visit… Do something today for someone you Love!
