The former landlord’s Christian sister

Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her, and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me, and about the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me.

Please also pray that they both put God first and that our Mighty and Powerful God exposes and destroys every idol

We join you in lifting up this heavy and serious situation before our Mighty and Powerful God, and we thank you for your concern for the former landlord's sister who has faith in Jesus. We pray that the Lord will strengthen her and continue to use her as a light and a voice of truth in her family.

We agree with you in praying that nothing remains hidden in darkness. For it is written, For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17 and Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them Ephesians 5:11. We ask God to expose the truth about the condition of the apartment that endangered your life, and about all that has been done in secret, so that deception cannot continue. We pray that this sister is not kept in the dark but is given wisdom and discernment to see clearly and to speak the truth in love.

We also bring before the Lord the immoral sexual relationship you mentioned. Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is holy only within marriage between a man and a woman, and outside of that it is sin. It is written, Flee sexual immorality Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers and 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. We pray that both the former landlord and this woman would be convicted of this sin, that they would turn from it in repentance, and that any influence of sexual immorality would be broken. If there has been any attempt to harm you, we pray for God's protection over you and for justice according to His will. We pray that if evil plans were made to try to kill you, God would frustrate those plans and bring them to nothing, for He is our refuge and fortress Psalm 91:2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. We also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord, as it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19, so we entrust justice to Him while also encouraging you to seek help from the proper authorities whom God has established to uphold what is right Romans 13:1-4, especially when life has been threatened.

We pray that both the brother and sister would put God first in all things, for Jesus said, But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We ask our Father to expose and destroy every idol in their hearts and lives, for you shall have no other gods before me Exodus 20:3 and Little children, keep yourselves from idols 1 John 5:21. Where there has been love of money, or power, or self, or any other thing placed above God, we ask Him to tear it down and to bring true repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to You and salvation. We lift up this sister who loves You, strengthen her faith, give her boldness and grace to speak Your truth, and let her positive influence be used by Your Holy Spirit to bring conviction and change to her brother. Expose every hidden thing concerning this apartment and concerning any evil done against our dear one who is praying, let no lie remain, and let Your light shine into every dark place. Bring the former landlord to repentance for any wrongdoing and for sexual immorality, and bring this woman to repentance as well, or if she does not repent, restrain her evil and let justice be done according to Your righteous will. Protect Your child who has suffered, heal any trauma and fear, and surround them with Your peace and safety. Tear down every idol in these lives and cause them to seek You first and to honor You in all things. We ask all this in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord as your protector and to walk in forgiveness while still seeking truth and righteousness. God sees all that has happened and He is faithful to act in His perfect timing. Keep praying for this family, that they would be saved and transformed by the power of the gospel.

We are praying for the former landlord's sister, that the Lord would continue to strengthen her faith and give her wisdom and courage in how she speaks and acts. We are also praying for your former landlord, that God would draw him to put the Lord first and to walk in honesty and care toward others. We understand you want what happened in that apartment and your concerns about your safety to be known and addressed, and we are asking God to bring what needs to be seen into the light in His way and timing, and to expose anything that has taken His rightful place.

Carrying these worries alone is exhausting. It can help to have a trusted pastor or wise counselor to talk through them with, someone who knows you and can help you discern next steps and stay supported. Father, we lift this sister to You and thank You for her faith. Give her wisdom, protection, and grace as she seeks to follow You. We lift the former landlord to You as well, asking that You would lead them both to seek You first. We ask for Your protection over the one who wrote to us, for peace in place of fear, and for clear guidance for each step ahead. Help idols to fall and help hearts to turn fully to You. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden and we join you in prayer before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to do that which is right and holy and merciful according to His perfect will.

We pray for the sister of whom you speak, who has faith in Jesus. We thank God for any light of grace in her, and we pray that the Lord would keep her faithful, that she may walk in truth and speak the truth in love, and that the Divine Presence may rest upon her so that her words may be seasoned with grace. We ask that she may not be kept in darkness concerning those things which concern her brother's dealings, but that what is hidden may be brought to light in God's time and way, for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed. May she be given wisdom and courage to put God first and to be a clear and loving witness to her brother of repentance and holiness.

We pray also for the former landlord, that God would be merciful to him and bring him to put God first in all things. We do not ask God to bless what His Word calls sin, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all sexual union outside of it is contrary to His holy law and must be repented of. We pray that every idol, whether it be wealth, or lust, or self, or any other thing that would take the place of God, may be exposed and destroyed. As you have asked, we pray that the Lord who makes the dry tree to flourish and brings down the high tree would in His sovereignty cast down every idol and set Christ upon the throne of the heart. May He grant true conviction of sin, that this man may say with David, Against thee, thee only have I sinned, and may he turn to the blood of Jesus Christ which cleanseth from all sin, for there is salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

Concerning the wrongs you have suffered in that apartment and the grievous matters you allege regarding the woman and the danger to your life, we pray that the Lord who is just and who sees all things will protect you and vindicate the right. We pray that truth may be made manifest, that evil may be restrained, and that justice may be done according to His unimpeachable righteousness. We leave vengeance in the hands of Him to whom it belongs, for He has said He will repay, and we ask for your safety under His divine protection. If there has been plotting or violence, we pray that God would expose it and bring it to nothing, and that He would keep you from all harm.

For you who have been wronged, we pray that Divine Grace may give you the victory to overcome evil with good, as the Scripture commands. To return evil for evil is natural and easy, but may God deliver you from that nature and teach you the more elevated way of Christ, who overcame evil by His goodness and His cross. May you be kept from being overcome by evil, and may you grow less in your own esteem and more in dependence upon Christ, remembering the Heaven that awaits, the God who rules over all, and the unerring Wisdom which can bring good out of evil. May the Lord comfort you, establish you in faith, and help you to put God first, to keep yourself from idols, and to trust the Divine Sovereignty which is so comforting to the children of God.

We pray that our Mighty God, who forms light and who reigns over all, would dissolve every difficulty, destroy every idol, and display His perfections in bringing many to repentance and faith, to the glory of His grace. May all involved be brought to humble confession, to faith in the Lord Jesus, and to a life that honors Him. Amen.
