The former landlord's Christian sister

Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her, and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me, and about the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me.

Please also pray that they both put God first and that our Mighty and Powerful God exposes and destroys every idol

We join you in bringing this difficult and heavy situation before the Lord and we thank God that the former landlord's sister has faith in Jesus and that God is already speaking through her. We pray that the Lord will continue to use her as a light and a godly influence in her brother's life and that her witness would not be silenced or hindered.

We ask our Mighty and Powerful God to bring all that has been hidden into the light. Your desire that the sister not be kept in the dark about the life threatening apartment and about the serious wrongdoing is right before God, for nothing that is done in darkness escapes Him. For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17 and we are told to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them Ephesians 5:11. We pray that the truth concerning the apartment that endangered your life and concerning the evil deeds done against you would be exposed by God in His perfect timing and justice, and that you would be protected and vindicated by Him. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1 and we pray that protection over you now, that no weapon formed against you would prosper and that those who have sought to harm you would be brought to repentance or to justice according to God's will. We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord for your safety and also to seek lawful protection and help from the proper authorities if your life has been threatened, for God has also established authorities for our protection.

We also lift up the sexual immorality you have mentioned. The Bible is clear that any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin before God, whether fornication or adultery, and must be repented of. We are told to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18 and marriage is to be held in honor among all and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. We pray that the former landlord would be convicted of this sin and of any idolatry in his life, that he would turn from it, and that both he and his sister would put God first in all things. You shall have no other gods before me Exodus 20:3 and we pray that every idol in their lives, whether it be money, self, lust, or power, would be exposed and destroyed by the Lord, and that they would seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness Matthew 6:33.

Father we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to You. We thank You for the sister who knows You and we ask that You anoint her words with grace and truth, that her brother would have ears to hear and a heart softened to repentance. We ask that You shine Your light on all darkness concerning this apartment and the harm intended against Your child, that You expose every evil deed and every idol and bring it to nothing. We ask that You deliver the former landlord from sexual immorality and from any influence of the immoral woman, that he would be saved and transformed if he does not yet know You, and restored if he does. Protect the one who has been wronged, give peace that passes understanding, and let vengeance remain in Your hands while You execute justice and mercy according to Your perfect will. We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, carrying concern about that apartment and the people involved, and we are grateful you brought this to us for prayer.

We join you in thanking God for the sister who loves Jesus and we pray He continues to strengthen her faith and give her wisdom in how she loves her brother well. Godly influence often grows quietly through a consistent life and gentle words over time, and we pray her walk with the Lord would be a steady light in that family. We also pray for truth and clarity for everyone involved, and for your own peace and protection as you look back on what happened.

It makes sense that you would still feel unsettled after living in a place that felt unsafe. If you continue to feel threatened or worried about your safety, we encourage you to share what you are experiencing with a trusted pastor or counselor and with appropriate local authorities who can help you assess housing and safety concerns. You do not have to sort through these fears alone, and seeking wise support is a good companion to prayer.

We pray for you and for both of them to be drawn closer to the Lord and to put Him first in all things.

Father, we lift this sister to You and ask You to keep her close to You and guide her words and actions. We lift the former landlord to You and ask for Your work in his heart and life. We lift our friend who is praying and ask for Your protection, Your peace, and Your clear direction, and that any idols would lose their hold as You are sought first. Lead each one in Your truth and grace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace, where our heavenly Father hears the cries of His people and is mighty to deliver.

We pray for this sister who professes faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, that the Lord would strengthen her faith and keep her faithful, that she may speak the truth in love and with boldness. May the Lord speak through her indeed, and make her as a pillar of iron against evil, that her influence may be used for holiness and not hindered. We pray that no darkness shall cover what ought to be brought to light, and that what has been hidden concerning this dwelling and the dangers you have endured will be made known, for the Lord brings hidden things to light and will not suffer deceit to remain covered forever.

We do not ask God to bless what His Word calls sin, for He has ordained that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that intimacy belongs only within that holy bond. Where there has been sexual immorality, we pray not for its continuance but for repentance and cleansing through the blood of Christ. We pray for the former landlord and for the woman you have mentioned, that both may be convicted of sin, turn from every evil way, and seek salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. May they put God first, forsaking every idol that would claim the heart, whether it be wealth or lust or self, and may the Lord grind every idol to pieces as Moses ground the golden calf, that Christ alone may reign.

We pray for your deliverance from every evil intent and from those who would seek to harm you. Our God has found a ransom, and He is able to deliver from going down to the pit. He who delivered Israel when the lamb was slain is still mighty to bring forth His people with a strong hand. We ask that He would be your shield and defender, that He would expose every work of darkness and destroy every idol that exalts itself against Him. We pray that you may overcome evil with good, leaving vengeance to the Lord who judges righteously, and resting in the truth that the liberty of a child of God is to walk in holiness without hindrance.

May the Lord chasten where chastening is needed, in love and not in mere punishment, and may He grant repentance that leads to life. May He give you peace within your borders and a song of deliverance, that you may live and declare the works of the Lord, giving Him alone all honor for your salvation and preservation. We commit you and these souls to Him who is able to deliver from the power of darkness and to translate us into the kingdom of His dear Son, trusting that He will do what is just and merciful according to His perfect will.
