We join you in lifting up this heavy situation before our Mighty and Powerful God, and we thank Him that the former landlord's sister has faith in Jesus and desires to be a light in her brother's life.
We pray that the Lord will strengthen her and continue to speak through her with boldness and grace, that she would speak the truth in love as described in Ephesians 4:15, and not shrink back from declaring what is right. We ask that no darkness would remain hidden, for it is written that there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known in Luke 12:2, and that we are to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them in Ephesians 5:11. We pray that if her brother has kept her in the dark about renting a life-threatening apartment and about his own wrongdoing, God in His sovereignty would expose it, for the eyes of Yahweh are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good in Proverbs 15:3. We also pray that God would expose and destroy every idol in both of their lives, for you shall have no other gods before me in Exodus 20:3, and to keep yourselves from idols in 1 John 5:21. When anything or anyone is put before God, whether it be money, property, power, or another person, it becomes an idol that must be torn down so that they may seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness in Matthew 6:33.
We must also address what you have shared about the sexual relationship between the former landlord and this woman. God’s Word is clear that marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers in Hebrews 13:4. Sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication, and if either party is married to another, it is adultery, and both are sin before God. We are told to flee sexual immorality in 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray that both the former landlord and this woman would be convicted of this sin, repent, and turn to pursue purity and holiness, and if they are to have a relationship at all, that it would only be a courtship aimed toward a godly marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers in Christ, or that they would separate and live in obedience to the Lord.
We also hear the seriousness of your concern that people were hired to try to kill you. If this is true, this is an evil intent that God sees and will judge, for you shall not murder in Exodus 20:13. We pray for your protection, for he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty in Psalm 91:1, and we encourage you to entrust justice to God and to the lawful authorities He has ordained, for it is written do not avenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord in Romans 12:19. We pray that you would not be consumed by fear or bitterness, but would love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you in Matthew 5:44, while also wisely taking lawful steps to protect yourself and to report genuine threats to the proper authorities, for God desires truth and justice to prevail.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this sister in Christ to You. Anoint her lips and her life, give her courage, wisdom, and discernment, and let her be a faithful witness to her brother. Remove any veil of deception and let the truth about this dangerous apartment and about the immoral relationship be brought into the light, not for gossip or revenge, but for repentance, accountability, and safety. We pray for the former landlord, that You would break his heart over his sin, draw him to repentance, and make him a new creation in Christ where old things have passed away in 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray for this woman as well, that if she has participated in evil and immorality, You would convict her and lead her to repentance, and that any plot to harm would be exposed and stopped by Your mighty hand. We ask that both the brother and sister would put You first above all else, that every idol would be exposed and destroyed, and that they would worship You alone. Protect our dear one who has been harmed and frightened, surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7, and lead them in Your perfect will. We ask all of this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12, and it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently, to walk in forgiveness while also seeking truth and lawful protection, and to trust that our God is both just and merciful and will bring to light what needs to be seen in His perfect timing.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
