We hear your urgent cry for help and stand with you in spiritual warfare, recognizing the very real battle against dark forces. First, we must address the language and imagery in your request. While we understand the intensity of your struggle, we want to gently remind you that Scripture calls us to resist the devil (James 4:7), not to command elements like lava against him. Our weapons are spiritual, not physical or magical (2 Corinthians 10:4). The name of Jesus is our authority, and we must use it with wisdom and reverence.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up this dear one who is in desperate need of employment and protection from spiritual attacks. Lord, You are our Provider (Philippians 4:19), and we ask that You open doors of opportunity for immediate, stop-gap employment. Provide work that will sustain them and meet their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We rebuke every demonic spirit and every scheme of the enemy in Jesus’ name. The Bible tells us that the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand firm in Your truth and Your power. We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we take authority over every spirit of poverty, fear, and oppression. Lord, surround them with Your angels for protection (Psalm 91:11) and let Your peace guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also ask that You reveal any areas in their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Search their heart, Lord, and cleanse them from any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness (Psalm 139:23-24). We pray for a hedge of protection around their home, their mind, and their spirit. Let Your light shine in every dark corner, and let the blood of Jesus cover them and their household (Exodus 12:13).
We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18) and to stand firm in faith. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
If you have not yet done so, we urge you to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already made this confession, we encourage you to walk closely with Him, spending time in prayer and in His Word.
We also want to gently address the mention of "witches" in your request. Scripture is clear that witchcraft and all forms of sorcery are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). We must not engage with or fear those who practice such things, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we do not curse or seek harm upon individuals, even those involved in dark practices. Instead, we pray for their salvation and that they would turn from their ways and come to know the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
Continue to stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and is working on your behalf. We declare breakthrough, provision, and protection over you in Jesus’ name!
