That the company I work for did not sell

Whayrordeth

Disciple of Prayer
Praying that the company I work for did not sell. I have worked there ### years. Please let there be work of ### to ### hours of work for me. I like my job and pray that the company does not sell and continues to operate. Thank you, and prayers for my physical and mental health.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of concern for your employment and well-being. The uncertainty of a company’s future can bring great anxiety, and we understand how deeply this weighs on you after dedicating so many years to your work. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We lift your job situation to the Lord, asking Him to guide the decisions of those in leadership and to provide stability for you and your coworkers.

Father, we ask You to intervene in this situation according to Your perfect will. If it is Your plan for this company to remain under its current ownership, we pray for wisdom and favor for its leaders. Let them see the value in continuing operations and the blessing of loyal employees like our brother/sister here. Provide an abundance of work, enough to sustain and fulfill, but not so much that it becomes a burden. Give strength to complete each task with excellence, as Colossians 3:23 says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."

We also lift up your physical and mental health, dear one. The stress of uncertainty can take a toll, but we know that God is our refuge and strength. Psalm 55:22 tells us, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." We pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen your body, Lord, and renew your mind with Your truth. Remind our brother/sister that their worth is not found in their job, but in You alone.

If there is any fear or doubt creeping in, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust in Him, for He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8). If this company is not where He intends for you to remain, we pray for open doors to new opportunities that align with His purpose for your life. But if it is His will for you to stay, we declare provision, favor, and peace over your workplace.

Lastly, we want to gently encourage you to place your ultimate hope in Christ, not in your employment. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the assurance of eternal security. If you have not already, we invite you to surrender your life to Him, for Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Whether your job remains the same or changes, your identity in Christ is unshakable.

Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for our brother/sister, asking You to move mightily in this situation. Provide clarity, peace, and provision. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their Provider, their Peace, and their Portion. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who holds all things together. Amen.

We've been praying for you, and we want you to know we see how hard this season is. Waiting on news like this, when your livelihood and a job you genuinely enjoy hang in the balance, takes a real toll. You've invested years there. That matters. It'll make sense that your mind keeps circling back to the uncertainty, and that the strain spills over into how you feel physically, too.

One thing that sometimes helps in these stretched-out waiting periods is finding one small, tangible way to care for your body this week, nothing complicated, just something that acknowledges you're carrying extra weight right now. When we're under sustained stress, our physical reserves get depleted faster than we realize, and that depletion makes everything feel harder to bear. Getting a checkup isn't a lack of faith; it's stewardship, and if your body's been sending signals, we'd gently encourage you to see your doctor alongside the prayers you're already bringing.

We're also mindful that even if the company stays, the uncertainty itself has been a trial. You're not wrong to feel worn down by it. We're asking God to steady your mind in the meantime, to give you clarity where you need it, and to sustain you in the work you do each day.

Lord, we lift up this person's company and their place in it. You know the outcome already, and we ask for Your will to be done, and if it pleases You, that they'd keep operating and this friend would have the hours they need. Guard their physical health and give them real peace of mind while they wait. Surround them with supportive people who see the burden and carry it with them. In Jesus' name, amen.

The question of fear arises in your heart: "Will he plead against me with his great power?" Will God allow this company to be sold, casting your years of labor into uncertainty? Will your hours and livelihood be stripped away? Yet the answer of faith follows: No, but he will put strength in you. That very power, once a terror, becomes your refuge and hope, for he shall lend you his omnipotence, "he will put strength into me." Should trials come, even like those which happened to Job, it shall be well with our souls if our hearts are not drawn or driven into sin. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. If God could uphold Job in all that, you may be sure that He can support you. Look to Him for this Divine support.

I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Job's temporal glory, his bodily health and prosperity, remember that Job, even in temporals, received at last twice as much as he had before. That fear of losing freshness, that fear of a lack of work, is a natural one, but do not let it rob you of all life and freshness. The health of your entire being, spirit, soul, and body, has visible signs. He is the health of my countenance. Are your lips praying lips, singing lips, confessing lips? Spiritual health imparts a beauty to the entire visage. Though physical eyes may dim with worry, how bright the spiritual eyes become with such a hope to cheer them.

Fear not, thou worm Jacob; I will help thee, saith the Lord. Then why shouldst thou fear? Fear is weakening; fear dishonors God. Doubt the Eternal, distrust the Omnipotent? O, traitorous fear! Thinkest thou that the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth shall ever be palsied? He says, "Fear not." It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, fallen as dead at His feet, "Fear not: fear not." Oh, you that are brought very low, you have grand opportunities for honoring God if you will but trust Him.

And when you pray, remember the captive was turned when Job prayed for his friends. Our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. Stand up for all that are your fellow-soldiers; be jealous of the honor of the regiment in which you have enlisted. I entertain no fear that you will wear the badge of the churl; sympathy is especially a Christian's duty. And unto you that fear the Lord, He shall arise with healing beneath His wings. Fear not!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You tremble at the possible sale of your company, but consider what truly makes one rich. The rich man is not he who has large possessions, but he who stands in need of nothing. Would you who fear poverty become rich? Despise the world's wealth, think it nought as it is nought. Cast out the desire for security in this job alone, and you are straightway rich. Your company may stand or fall; that is in God's hands, not yours. But your soul's disposition toward these things, that is yours.

You ask for a certain number of hours, as if your very life depended on this one arrangement. Yet what is this present life but a sleep, and the things in it no different from dreams? They that grow rich in a dream, when it is day, are convicted of having been rich to no purpose. Look instead to the work itself. If the work of the Lord is worked by your hands in that place, if you labor honestly and serve others, then this serves you instead of all nobility and wealth. For the work of the Lord he works, and that is to be fully trusted.

You like your job. That is a gift, but let not your affection for it become a fever. What can be more alarming than if we are for our comforts to fall from the service of Christ? Yet what more to be desired, if by holding these things loosely we have our charity toward Him perfect? The publican, grievously oppressed by the fever of covetousness, was quickly set free by obeying the Physician. So you too, obey now.

For your physical and mental health, you pray, and rightly so. Make provision for the flesh, but for health, not wantonness or anxious care. Use what is needful, but prune away the excess of worry which kindles desire and inflames the mind. For what profit is it to have work and yet live in greater despondency than he who has none? Dispositions make men rich and poor, healthy and sick, not the abundance or the want of hours. Bear your uncertainty more lightly than others bear their certain wealth, and you are the richer man.

Do not judge according to appearance, as if the sale of a company or the loss of hours were the whole of your health. One Man made a whole man healthy on the Sabbath, showing that partial health was never the goal. He who knows beforehand that He shall win no advantage from your perfect trust, yet ceases not from the work of caring for you. What excuse then have you, who are ignorant of the future, yet faint and are benumbed? Cease from this feverish questioning, and entrust all to Him.
