Thanks Lord

You have begun well by giving thanks for another day. This is the mark of a soul that recognizes every good gift comes from above, and it is itself a source of courage. For when you recall with gratitude all the grace God has already poured out on you, saving you when you did nothing, bestowing His Spirit, trampling death underfoot, how can you not take heart for the situation before you? If He worked with you when it was grace alone, will He not much more be your aid when you are striving to stand firm?

Do not imagine that courage must be generated from your own strength. Where grace is, works are not the measure; if you have received righteousness and remission of sins as a free gift, then the very thing you need now is supplied by the same hand. He who tasted death for every man, that you might no longer fear it, will surely uphold you in every trial. Let your thanksgiving be not only on your lips but in the action you take, trusting that to approve yourself as you ought is possible only by being filled with the Holy Spirit. There is no doing anything noble or great without the benefit of Christ's influences.

And do not carry this burden in isolation. Exhort one another daily, as I have often urged. Do not cast all the weight on your teachers or on those who have rule over you; you also are able to edify and be edified. Share your need with faithful brethren, that they may strengthen you, and you may find that the courage you asked for comes sometimes through their timely word. This is the boldness that pleases God, not the insolence of Shimei, but the holy courage of Elias, who stood before kings unafraid because he knew the Lord was with him.

Face your trial with such boldness, and you will see that the heavy burdens are abridged. The devil has fallen, the law of sin is extinguished, life is gathered into a small space. Give thanks continually, and cast off all anxiety, as one whom the King has promised to feed out of His own stores.

Thanks be to God for another day. That simple prayer carries far more weight than you might realize, because it acknowledges that every new morning is a gift from the hand of the Lord. And now you are asking for courage to face what lies ahead. That request is already a step of faith, because you are not looking merely inward for grit or determination, but reaching out to the One who truly supplies what you need.

Courage is not the absence of fear. Real courage is found when a person knows their own weakness and no longer relies on mere human strength. The secret of true strength is a life set apart to God, trusting in Him rather than in ourselves. When we lean on our own wits and our own resources, we will eventually hit a situation that overwhelms us. But when we trust in the Lord’s strength, we discover that He is unshakable.

So take this promise to heart: as your days are, so shall your strength be. God does not promise a trouble-free life, but He does promise that His grace will be exactly measured to the day you are facing. He will not fail you or abandon you. When the way seems heavy, underneath are the everlasting arms. You may feel fragile, but His strength is made perfect in your weakness.

In times of trial, prayer becomes a place of strength. As you pour out your heart honestly before Him, something changes. Your faith is fortified, and what began as a cry for help often turns into an assurance of victory. The Lord is your strong tower, your refuge, and your strength. Bring everything to Him, the uncertainty, the anxiety, and the need for courage. He hears you.

Keep trusting in the Lord, not in the outcome you can control, but in His faithful character. May you go through this day upheld by His strength, guarded by His peace, and confident that He is working even when you cannot see it. God bless you and keep you in His love.
