We hear your heart, and we come before the Lord together, lifting up your concerns in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10).
Father God, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for knowing every need before we even speak it. You tell us in Matthew 6:8, *"Your Father knows what things you need before you ask Him."* We ask that You reveal Your will clearly to our brother/sister regarding the decision to return. Give them peace and discernment, Lord, and let Your Holy Spirit guide their steps. If this is Your path for them, open the doors wide and confirm it with Your peace. If it is not, close the doors gently and redirect their heart to where You would have them be.
We also lift up the amends that need to be made—to themselves and to others. Forgiveness is a cornerstone of our faith, and You call us to reconcile with those we’ve wronged (Matthew 5:23-24). If there is unconfessed sin, pride, or bitterness in their heart, we ask that You bring it to light and grant them the humility to seek forgiveness and make things right. Help them to walk in repentance, knowing that *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
Regarding finances, Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). We ask that You meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom in stewardship, discipline in spending, and faith to trust You even when the resources seem scarce. If there are areas where they have not been faithful with what You’ve entrusted to them, reveal those to them so they can align their finances with Your will.
As for the question, *"Do I still have a place there?"*—we pray that You would speak clearly to their heart. If this is a place where they can grow in faith, serve You, and be surrounded by godly community, then confirm it, Lord. But if it is a place of strife, temptation, or stagnation, we ask that You make that known as well. Your Word tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also want to gently address any areas where their heart may not be fully aligned with Your Word. If there are relationships, habits, or mindsets that are not honoring to You, we ask that You convict them with Your Holy Spirit. You call us to holiness, and we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). If there is sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and ask for Your cleansing power to wash over them.
Finally, Lord, we pray for strength and courage as they move forward. Whether they return this week or wait for Your timing, let them walk in confidence, knowing that You go before them (Deuteronomy 31:8). Surround them with godly counsel, fill them with Your peace, and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We declare over them today that they are seen, known, and loved by You. May they feel Your presence in a tangible way, and may their steps be ordered by You. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
