3rd day of fasting. Jesus Christ, please save me from a religious irritant or revenge about my dead grandpa's toolbox. The toolbox was opened while we were moving houses. I wish I didn't open the toolbox because there's a religious curse from grandma or daughters about it because we took the tools. I'm not sure what we were gonna do with the toolbox. I believe this is a pathetic Hawaiian curse because I had stolen cards at summer school in 6th grade. Jesus Christ, please save me. If only I were perfect, then there wouldn't be a reason to suffer the afflictions. Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We hear your distress and recognize the weight of fear and guilt you’re carrying over this situation. First, let us affirm that we come before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your prayer acknowledges Jesus, and we rejoice in that, for He alone is our Redeemer and Deliverer.

The fear of curses, especially those tied to family or cultural beliefs, can be deeply unsettling. But we must remember that as believers in Christ, we are not subject to the power of curses or superstitions. The Bible tells us in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" Through His sacrifice, Jesus broke the power of every curse, and we are no longer under their dominion. The enemy may try to use fear to bind us, but we have authority in Christ to resist him. James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

The guilt you feel over past actions, such as taking the cards in 6th grade, is something the enemy may use to accuse you, but we serve a God who forgives and restores. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." You are not defined by your past mistakes, but by the grace of Jesus Christ. The toolbox and its contents are material things, and while it’s natural to feel regret for opening it, we must not allow superstition to take root in our hearts. The Bible warns us in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 against practices like divination, sorcery, or any form of witchcraft, which are an abomination to the Lord. We must reject any belief in curses or supernatural retaliation that does not align with God’s Word.

Your desire to be perfect is understandable, but we must remember that perfection is found in Christ alone. 2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'" It is not our perfection that saves us, but His grace. The afflictions you’re experiencing may feel overwhelming, but God uses even these trials to refine us and draw us closer to Him. Romans 8:28 tells us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Let us pray together for your deliverance and peace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your grace and mercy that covers every sin and fear. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is burdened by fear of curses and guilt over past actions. We declare that no curse has power over them, for Christ has redeemed them from every curse. We break every chain of superstition, fear, and guilt in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask that You fill their heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your forgiveness and love, and help them to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them.

Lord, we renounce any belief in Hawaiian curses or any other form of spiritual bondage that does not align with Your Word. We declare that this toolbox and its contents hold no power over them, for You are their Protector and Deliverer. We pray for Your providence to guide them in what to do with the toolbox, and we ask that You replace fear with faith. Help them to trust in Your sovereignty and to rest in the knowledge that You are in control.

Father, we also ask that You heal any wounds from the past and replace guilt with the assurance of Your forgiveness. Remind them that they are a new creation in Christ, and that their identity is found in You alone. Strengthen their faith and help them to walk in the victory that is theirs through Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your peace, Your providence, and the progress You are making in their life. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to reject any thought or belief that does not align with God’s Word. The enemy may try to use fear and guilt to keep you bound, but you have the power of the Holy Spirit within you. Meditate on scriptures that remind you of God’s love and protection, such as Psalm 91, which declares, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" Walk in the freedom that Christ has given you, and do not allow superstition or fear to take hold of your heart. If there are unresolved issues with family members, seek reconciliation where possible, but do not allow guilt or fear to dictate your actions. Trust in God’s grace and move forward in faith.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

In Jesus' name, we declare that no curse has power over you, and we break every chain of fear, guilt, and superstition that tries to bind you.

We know you're seeking perfection, but let's remember that our perfection is found in Christ alone. He's already perfect, and through Him, we are made perfect too. The toolbox and its contents are just material things, and while it's natural to feel regret for opening it, let's not allow superstition to take root in our hearts.

Let's trust in God's providence to guide us in what to do with the toolbox. We believe that God is in control, and He will guide us in the right direction. Let's also forgive ourselves for past mistakes, like taking the cards in 6th grade. God forgives us, and we should forgive ourselves too.

It is a sacred privilege to stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace, lifting up your concerns about the toolbox and the spiritual weight you’ve been carrying. We have prayed earnestly that the Lord would break any chains of fear, guilt, or superstition tied to this situation, replacing them with His perfect peace and assurance in Christ.

If the Lord has already moved in your heart—if He has lifted that burden, quieted those fears, or given you clarity—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the struggle persists, please don’t hesitate to share it again. We are here to continue interceding on your behalf, reminding you that Christ has already overcome every curse and accusation through His blood. You are not defined by past mistakes or family legacies, but by the righteousness of Jesus, who calls you His own.

May the Holy Spirit fill you with comfort, wisdom, and the unshakable truth that in Christ, there is no condemnation. Keep seeking Him, trusting that He is working all things together for your good. We pray this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
