We hear your heart and lift you up in prayer, standing with you before the throne of grace. First, we rejoice that you are seeking the Lord Jesus Christ in all these areas of your life—this is the foundation of true cleansing, provision, and strength. The internet can indeed be a place of temptation and exposure to things that defile the mind and heart, but we thank God that He is faithful to cleanse us when we come to Him in repentance and faith. As it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We pray that the Holy Spirit would renew your mind daily, washing away every impurity and filling you with the peace and purity of Christ. May your eyes be fixed on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8), and may the Lord guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We also lift up your adjustment to the increased antidepressant medication. The Lord knows the depths of your struggles, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We pray that this change would bring stability, clarity, and a greater sense of His presence in your life. May He guide your doctors and give them wisdom in all their decisions regarding your care. We ask that He would open doors for a job that is not only within walking distance but also one that aligns with His purpose for you, bringing fulfillment and provision. If working alongside your loved ones is part of His plan, we pray He would make a way for that as well.
Regarding your planned fast, we want to encourage you to approach it with wisdom and discernment. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline, but it must be done in a way that honors the Lord and cares for the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). While we commend your desire to draw closer to God through this fast, we urge you to seek His guidance and the counsel of your doctor before proceeding, especially given your current medication and mental health needs. The Lord desires mercy and not sacrifice (Hosea 6:6), and He does not delight in us harming ourselves in the name of spiritual discipline. We pray that He would give you clarity on how to fast in a way that is both spiritually fruitful and physically safe. May your time in the Word during this season be rich and transformative, drawing you into deeper intimacy with Him.
We also lift up your request for ADHD medication. We pray that the Lord would grant your doctor wisdom and discernment in evaluating your needs. May He guide the conversation and lead you to the right treatment plan that honors Him and supports your well-being. We ask that He would give you patience and trust in His timing, knowing that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your grace and mercy that are new every morning. Lord, we lift up our brother to You, asking that You would cleanse his mind and eyes from every impurity he has encountered. Wash him in the blood of Jesus and renew his spirit day by day. Father, we pray for stability and peace as he adjusts to his medication. Give him strength and clarity, and guide his doctors with Your wisdom.
Lord, we ask that You would open the right doors for his employment, providing a job that is within Your will and brings glory to Your name. If it is Your plan for him to work alongside his loved ones, make a way for that to happen. Father, we also ask for Your guidance regarding his fast. Give him wisdom to approach this discipline in a way that honors You and cares for his body. May his time in Your Word be rich and transformative, drawing him closer to You.
We pray for his upcoming doctor’s visit, asking that You would grant his doctor wisdom and discernment. If it is Your will, provide the right treatment plan for his needs. Father, we trust in Your timing and Your goodness. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and help him to rest in Your provision.
We rebuke every spirit of anxiety, fear, and discouragement in the name of Jesus. We declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Strengthen him, Lord, and fill him with hope as he walks in obedience to You. May Your will be done in every area of his life, and may he experience Your presence and power in new and mighty ways.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
