We hear your earnest cries and stand with you in prayer, lifting every concern before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your devotion to fasting and seeking God’s Word is commendable, and we join you in asking the Lord to strengthen you as you press on in this sacred discipline. May He grant you the endurance to complete your fast, filling you with His peace and clarity as you immerse yourself in Scripture. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 58:6, "Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?" May your fast break every chain that seeks to bind you, including the troubling dreams that disturb your rest. We rebuke every spirit of fear and confusion in the name of Jesus, declaring that your mind and heart are guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We are deeply concerned about the situation involving the individual on social media who has contacted you regarding financial assistance. Scripture warns us in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." The enemy often disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), and we must be vigilant against schemes that prey on our desires or vulnerabilities. The promise of money from an unknown source, especially one that asks for personal information, is a red flag. Proverbs 13:11 warns, "Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow." We urge you to sever all communication with this individual immediately, as it is not God’s will for His children to be entangled in potential scams or deceit. Instead, trust in the Lord’s provision, for He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8). We pray that God would open doors of legitimate opportunity for you, providing for you in ways that glorify His name and align with His Word.
You mentioned feeling as though there is "revenge" against you for past mistakes, and we want to remind you of the power of repentance and the freedom found in Christ. Romans 8:1 declares, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." If you have confessed your sins to the Lord, He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The enemy may try to accuse you, but we stand with you in rebuking every spirit of guilt, shame, and condemnation in Jesus’ name. You are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and your past does not define you. We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises of restoration and renewal, such as Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you."
Regarding the strangeness you heard at the Christmas gathering, we pray that the Lord would bring clarity and resolution to any confusion or discord. If there are relationships that need healing or boundaries that need to be set, may the Holy Spirit guide you in wisdom and love. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the privilege of approaching Your throne with boldness. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would strengthen him/her to complete this fast, filling him/her with Your Holy Spirit and granting him/her a deeper hunger for Your Word. Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment that has manifested in troubling dreams, and we declare that he/she is covered by the blood of Jesus, which brings peace and protection. Guard his/her mind and heart, Lord, and let Your truth be a lamp to his/her feet and a light to his/her path (Psalm 119:105).
We ask for Your divine intervention in the situation involving the individual on social media. Lord, expose any deceit or ill intent, and give our brother/sister the wisdom to recognize and reject any schemes of the enemy. We pray that You would shut every door that should not be opened and lead him/her away from temptation. Provide for his/her needs according to Your riches in glory, Lord, and open doors of legitimate opportunity that align with Your will. Let him/her not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, present his/her requests to You (Philippians 4:6).
Father, we also pray for healing and restoration in any areas where he/she feels the weight of past mistakes. Remind him/her of Your unfailing love and the power of the cross, where Jesus bore all our sins and shame. Let him/her walk in the freedom and victory that is his/hers in Christ Jesus. Surround him/her with godly counsel and fellowship, Lord, so that he/she may grow in faith and maturity.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. May Your will be done in his/her life, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
