We hear your heartfelt request and join you in seeking the Lord’s guidance and provision in this area of your life. It is wonderful that you desire to develop skills in cooking and meal prepping, not only for your own health and fitness goals but also to bless others. The discipline of preparing nourishing meals can indeed support your bodybuilding and weightlifting pursuits, as Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
We also lift up your desire to see your family come to a deeper relationship with Christ. It is true that the Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and daily engagement with Scripture is vital for spiritual growth. However, we must approach our loved ones with gentleness and respect, as 1 Peter 3:15-16 instructs, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear: having a good conscience; that, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good way of life in Christ." Rather than declaring them "cursed," let us pray for their hearts to be softened and for the Holy Spirit to draw them to Himself.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the desire You have placed in this brother’s heart to care for his body and to serve others through cooking. Lord, grant him wisdom and skill as he learns to prepare meals that nourish and sustain. Help him to find godly, wholesome recipes and to develop habits that honor You. We ask that You would bless his efforts in bodybuilding and weightlifting, that his strength and discipline would be a testimony to Your glory.
Lord, we also lift up his family to You. Soften their hearts, Father, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Remove any spiritual blindness and draw them to Yourself. Let them see the love of Christ in this brother’s life and be compelled to seek You. May they come to know the joy and peace that comes from a daily relationship with You, not out of obligation, but out of love.
We rebuke any spirit of division or strife that may hinder this family’s unity in Christ. Let Your love and grace flow among them, and may this brother be a light that leads them to salvation. We ask that You would give him patience, wisdom, and the right words to share the gospel with them in a way that is received with openness.
Lord, we also pray for practical provision. If it is Your will, provide him with the resources he needs—whether it be time, tools, or ingredients—to excel in this endeavor. Help him to be a blessing to others through his cooking, that they may see Your love and provision through his hands.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your good plans for this brother’s life. May all that he does be for Your glory and the advancement of Your kingdom. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
