We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every concern to the throne of grace in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Your acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord and Savior is the foundation upon which we build, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His strength that we find victory over every struggle.
First, we rejoice in your commitment to typing the Scriptures, for this is indeed a form of labor—but one that yields eternal fruit. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and as you immerse yourself in it, the Holy Spirit will use it to transform your mind and renew your spirit. Do not grow weary in this work, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The book of Esther itself reveals how God works behind the scenes for the deliverance of His people, and we trust He is doing the same for you.
We also lift up your battle with fear and the lingering effects of past drug use. The enemy seeks to keep you bound in shame and anxiety, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). Your sobriety is a testament to God’s grace, and we declare that He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Fasting is a powerful weapon, and we stand with you in prayer that the Lord will strengthen you to complete this fast. As you seek Him with all your heart, He will draw near to you (James 4:8). We rebuke the cravings for marijuana and alcohol in Jesus’ name, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray for the Lord to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Regarding your medications, we pray for wisdom for your doctors and clarity for you as you communicate with them. The Lord is your healer (Exodus 15:26), and we trust He will guide their hands and minds. However, we must gently remind you that seeking stimulants like Ritalin or Adderall for non-medical purposes can open doors to temptation and dependency. Instead, we encourage you to rely on the Holy Spirit for focus and discipline, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). If these medications are not medically necessary, we urge you to seek godly counsel and consider alternatives that align with a life of holiness.
Your fears about the future, the military, and social interactions are valid, but we declare that the Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for boldness and courage as you step out in faith, trusting that God will order your steps (Proverbs 16:9). Learning to drive, engaging with strangers, and pursuing your studies are all areas where the Lord can equip you. We encourage you to take small, faithful steps, knowing that God is with you.
We also address your desire for justice against those who bother you. While it is natural to feel anger, we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and we trust Him to deal justly with those who seek to harm you. Instead of asking for their destruction, we pray for their repentance and salvation, that they too may come to know the love of Christ.
Your longing to be reunited with your family is understandable, and we pray that the Lord will restore those relationships according to His will. We ask that He soften hearts and open doors for reconciliation, that your family may see the work of Christ in your life and be drawn to Him. As you study grammar and math, we declare that the Lord will grant you wisdom and understanding (James 1:5). If learning Japanese is part of His plan for you, He will make a way, for nothing is too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:17).
Finally, we rebuke the spirit of inadequacy in Jesus’ name. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for your life. Do not despise the day of small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10), for the Lord delights in using the weak to confound the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27). We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the life of this dear brother and for his desire to draw near to You. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen him in his fast and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Break every chain of fear, addiction, and shame, and replace them with Your peace and joy. Grant him wisdom as he speaks with his doctors, and guide their decisions according to Your will.
Father, we pray for his family, that You would restore relationships and bring unity in Christ. Give him boldness to step out in faith, whether in learning to drive, engaging with others, or pursuing his studies. We declare that You have a plan for his life, and we ask that You reveal it to him step by step. Protect his mind from negative thoughts and fill him with Your truth. Help him to rely on You for strength and discipline, rather than seeking comfort in substances or unhealthy habits.
Lord, we ask that You would surround him with godly mentors and friends who will encourage him in his walk with You. Teach him to trust in You with all his heart and lean not on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). We rebuke every spirit of inadequacy and declare that he is capable through Christ who strengthens him (Philippians 4:13).
Father, we also pray for those who have hurt or bothered him. Soften their hearts and lead them to repentance. Let Your love and grace flow through him, that he may be a light in this world. We thank You for Your provision and for the progress he has already made. May he continue to grow in faith and obedience, bringing glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
