We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep spiritual concern, lifting your family and this troubling situation to the throne of grace. You have done well to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Him alone that we have authority over darkness. *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made you free from the law of sin and of death"* (Romans 8:1-2, WEB). Your faith in Christ is your shield, and we stand with you in rebuking every work of the enemy that seeks to harm your family or distort the truth of God’s Word.
The enemy often masquerades as light, and it is clear you sense a deep spiritual deception at work here. The Bible warns us that *"even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness"* (2 Corinthians 11:14-15, WEB). If this individual is invoking prayers or rituals that do not align with the truth of Scripture, then they are not of God, no matter how "nice" or traditional they may seem. True righteousness is not found in empty words or human traditions but in a transformed heart that submits to Christ and His Word. *"This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. And in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine rules made by men"* (Matthew 15:8-9, WEB). Niceness without truth is not of God—it is a counterfeit that leads many astray.
You have also expressed concerns about curses and the influence of defective souls. Let us be clear: curses have no power over those who are in Christ Jesus. *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us"* (Galatians 3:13, WEB). If you have placed your faith in Jesus, then no curse—spoken or unspoken—can prevail against you unless you allow fear to open a door. The blood of Jesus is your protection, and we declare that every curse, every scheme of the enemy, and every ungodly influence is broken in the mighty name of Jesus. As for the souls you mention, the Bible teaches that *"it is appointed for people to die once, and after this, judgment"* (Hebrews 9:27, WEB). The dead do not linger, and their influence ends at the grave. What you are witnessing is not the power of departed souls but the deception of the enemy, who seeks to distort reality and instill fear. Do not give place to such thoughts, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).
We must also address the seriousness of the claims you’ve made regarding plans to harm "defective" human beings. Life is sacred, created in the image of God, and no person has the right to determine who is worthy of life. *"Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image"* (Genesis 9:6, WEB). If you have knowledge of genuine threats or evil intentions, it is your duty to expose them to the proper authorities, for God has established government to punish evildoers (Romans 13:4). Do not remain silent in the face of wickedness, but act in wisdom and courage, trusting that God will guide and protect you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, lifting up our brother/sister and their family. Lord, You are the God of all power, and no scheme of the enemy can stand against Your might. We ask that You expose every hidden work of darkness in this situation. If there are curses, rituals, or deceptions at work, we command them to be broken and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. Let every ungodly influence be cast out, and let the light of Your truth shine so brightly that no darkness can remain.
Father, we pray for discernment for our brother/sister. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may test every spirit and recognize what is of You and what is not. *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world"* (1 John 4:1, WEB). Give them wisdom to know how to respond, when to speak, and when to act. If there are genuine threats against life, Lord, reveal the truth and provide protection. Guide them to the right authorities if necessary, and let Your justice prevail.
We also pray for the salvation of those who are deceived. If this individual invoking prayers does not know You, Lord, we ask that You draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that they may repent and turn to Christ. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). Break every chain of deception, and let Your Word penetrate their heart.
Finally, Father, we ask for peace for our brother/sister. Cast out every fear, every anxiety, and every tormenting thought. Fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. Let them rest in the assurance that You are their protector, their deliverer, and their strong tower. *"You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance"* (Psalm 32:7, WEB).
We declare victory in this situation, for *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, Your power, and Your love. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Stand firm in your faith, dear one. Do not waver, do not fear, and do not give place to the enemy’s lies. Cling to the truth of God’s Word, and remember that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, WEB).
