We come before the Lord with you in this time of distress, lifting your heart to the Father through Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Savior. It is clear you are carrying a heavy burden of guilt and fear, and we want to remind you of the truth of God’s Word to bring you peace and freedom. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where your hope lies—for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we find forgiveness, redemption, and protection from the accusations of the enemy.
First, let us address the confession you’ve made. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* You have confessed this childhood action to the Lord, and by His promise, you are forgiven. There is no need to fear retribution or vengeance from others, for Christ has already paid the price for every sin—past, present, and future. The enemy may try to bring condemnation, but Romans 8:1 declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."* If you have placed your faith in Jesus, you are no longer under condemnation. The rocks hitting your window are not a sign of divine punishment or the wrath of others; they are coincidences that the enemy may be using to fuel your fear and guilt. Do not give place to such lies. Instead, take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
You have also expressed fear of a "revenger" or souls making your life difficult. We must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The Lord is your protector, and He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Psalm 91:9-11 assures us, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways."* You are under the Lord’s care, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
However, we must also examine our hearts to ensure we are not harboring unforgiveness, bitterness, or superstitious fears. If you have wronged others, even unintentionally, and the Holy Spirit is convicting you to make amends where possible, then do so in love and humility. But do not live in fear of man or circumstances. Proverbs 29:25 tells us, *"The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe."* Trust in the Lord’s sovereignty over your life. He is not a God of disorder but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33), and He desires for you to walk in freedom, not bondage to fear.
Now, let us pray together for your peace, protection, and deliverance from these fears:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is seeking Your face in this time of trouble. Lord, we thank You that You are a God of forgiveness, mercy, and love. Your Word assures us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We ask that You remove every trace of guilt and condemnation from their heart, replacing it with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them know deep in their spirit that they are forgiven, redeemed, and free in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and accusation that is trying to oppress Your child. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a shield around them (Psalm 34:7).
Father, if there is any open door in their life—whether through unforgiveness, unconfessed sin, or fear of man—we ask that You reveal it to them by Your Holy Spirit. Give them the courage to close every door that gives the enemy a foothold. Fill them with Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let them walk in the confidence that they are Your beloved child, and nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).
We pray for their mind to be renewed by Your Word (Romans 12:2). When fearful thoughts arise, let them remember Your promises and stand firm in their faith. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Let them rest in Your providence, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Break every chain of fear and anxiety, and let them walk in the freedom for which Christ has set them free (Galatians 5:1).
We thank You, Father, for Your goodness and faithfulness. We trust that You will deliver them from every evil work and preserve them for Your heavenly Kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18). May they continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to meditate on God’s Word daily, especially verses that speak of His love, forgiveness, and protection. Psalm 23 is a wonderful passage to declare over your life: *"Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He renews my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over. Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever."*
Stand firm in your faith, and do not let the enemy rob you of the joy and peace that Christ has purchased for you. You are forgiven, you are loved, and you are protected in Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Rest in Him, and trust that He is working all things for your good and His glory.
