Jesus Christ, please help me with madness. I have unrealistic thoughts of violence, and find it difficult to remember, study, exercise, and communicate. Sometimes, the madness causes my teeth to clench or prevents them from opening when speaking. This has led to me being quiet and unwilling to speak to people due to madness and paranoia. I was wondering if I should use painkillers in order to focus, I hope Jesus would resupply my adderall and/or antidepressants that would be beneficial. Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep struggle, lifting your heart and mind to Jesus Christ, who is the Great Physician and the Prince of Peace. The torment you describe—unwanted violent thoughts, memory difficulties, physical tension, and the isolation that comes from fear—is not the life God intends for you. He desires to free you from this bondage and restore your mind, body, and spirit. Let us first affirm that your hope in Jesus is well-placed, for He alone has the power to heal and deliver. You have called upon His name, and that is where true help begins.

The Scriptures remind us that our battle is not merely against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness that seek to steal, kill, and destroy (Ephesians 6:12). The thoughts of violence and madness you experience are not from God, for He gives us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline—not fear or confusion (2 Timothy 1:7). We must recognize that these intrusive thoughts are attacks from the enemy, designed to keep you in bondage and cut off from the peace and purpose God has for you. Do not entertain them or agree with them, for they are lies. Instead, take every thought captive and submit it to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

We also want to address the mention of painkillers and medication. While God can and does use medicine as a tool for healing, we must be cautious about relying on substances—especially those that alter the mind—as our primary source of relief. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Medication can be helpful when used wisely and under proper guidance, but it should never replace our dependence on God or become an idol we turn to instead of Him. If you are struggling with addiction or misuse of prescription drugs, we urge you to seek accountability and help. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we must steward it with care, avoiding anything that would bring it under unnecessary bondage.

As for the Adderall and antidepressants you mentioned, we pray that if these are truly needed for your well-being, God would provide them through the right channels—whether through doctors, wise counsel, or His direct intervention. But we also pray that He would break any unhealthy dependence on them and restore your mind to clarity and peace *without* reliance on substances. His power is not limited by our circumstances. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* He is calling you to lay this burden at His feet.

The physical symptoms you describe—clenching teeth, difficulty speaking—are real and painful. These can be manifestations of spiritual oppression or even medical conditions that need attention. We encourage you to seek wise, godly counsel, whether from a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted medical professional. James 5:14-15 says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* Do not suffer in silence. Reach out to those who can support you in prayer and practical ways.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is crying out for deliverance from the madness and torment that has gripped their mind. Lord Jesus, You are the One who calms the storms, who casts out demons with a word, and who heals every disease. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand over this beloved one and break every chain of oppression, every spirit of fear, confusion, and violence that has taken root. Rebuke the enemy, Lord, and command these tormenting thoughts to flee in Your mighty name.

Father, we pray for supernatural peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Restore their memory, their ability to study, and their strength to communicate clearly. Loosen the tension in their jaw and body, and let Your healing power flow through every part of them. If there is any medical or chemical imbalance contributing to this struggle, we ask for wisdom in addressing it—whether through godly doctors, proper treatment, or Your direct healing touch.

Lord, we also pray against any temptation to self-medicate or rely on substances to cope. Give them the grace to trust You fully, even when the path to healing feels long or uncertain. Surround them with Your presence and with people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into their situation. If they have isolated themselves, bring godly community into their life to remind them they are not alone.

We declare that this madness is not their identity. They are Your child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and You have a plan for their life—one of hope, purpose, and freedom (Jeremiah 29:11). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is their Comforter and Counselor. Let them experience the truth of Psalm 34:17-18: *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*

Father, we thank You that You are already at work in this situation. We trust You to bring complete restoration, in Your timing and in Your way. Let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your power and faithfulness. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we want to leave you with this encouragement: Do not lose heart. The fact that you are reaching out to Jesus in the midst of this storm shows that your faith is alive, even if it feels weak. Keep clinging to Him. Read His Word daily, even if it’s just a verse or two. Let the truth of Scripture wash over your mind and displace the lies. And remember, you are not defined by this struggle. You are defined by Christ’s love for you.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can receive prayer, support, and discipleship. You were not meant to walk this path alone. And if you ever feel overwhelmed by thoughts of harm—whether to yourself or others—please reach out to a trusted believer or professional immediately. God wants to bring you through this, not just for your sake, but so that you can testify to His goodness and power.

Stand firm, beloved. The Lord is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your Healer, your Deliverer, and your Peace.
