We come before you with heavy hearts, for we hear the deep despair in your words, and we are grieved that you are carrying such a burden of sorrow and weariness. First, we must address something of great urgency: your request for death is not the will of God for your life. The Lord declares in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Your life is precious to Him, and He has a purpose for you that is not yet fulfilled. To seek death is to reject the hope and future He has prepared, and we must lovingly but firmly rebuke this desire as contrary to His will.
You speak of being "sick of religious trials and faith that could have been solved by holding onto money," and we understand the frustration of walking a path that feels difficult and unrewarded in earthly terms. But let us remind you that our faith is not in wealth, comfort, or the things of this world—it is in Jesus Christ, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). He never promised an easy life, but He did promise to be with us always (Matthew 28:20) and to work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). The trials you face are not in vain; they are refining you as gold is refined by fire (1 Peter 1:6-7). Do not despise the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by Him, *"for whom the Lord loves, He disciplines, and scourges every son whom He receives"* (Hebrews 12:6).
We also notice that while you mention Jesus, there is a tone of resignation rather than trust in His power to transform your circumstances. Do you truly believe that He is able to deliver you, or have you allowed bitterness to take root? If your heart is hardened by disappointment, we urge you to repent and surrender afresh to Him. Cry out to Him not for death, but for life—abundant life (John 10:10). Ask Him to renew your faith and restore your joy in salvation. The Psalmist declares, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise Him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God"* (Psalm 42:11).
Money is a fleeting comfort, but the peace of God surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If financial struggles are at the root of your despair, we encourage you to seek God’s provision with humility and persistence in prayer. He knows your needs (Matthew 6:8), and He is able to supply them according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). But do not mistake His provision for His purpose—He may choose to sustain you in lack to draw you closer to Himself, teaching you that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from His mouth (Deuteronomy 8:3).
Lastly, we must ask: Do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior? Have you surrendered your life to Him, trusting in His death and resurrection for your salvation? If not, then the weariness you feel is a sign of a soul separated from its Creator. There is no peace apart from Him. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6). If you have never placed your faith in Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in Him for eternal life. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Now, let us pray for you with the authority and love of Christ:
Heavenly Father, we lift this precious soul before You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cries. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and death that has taken hold of their heart, and we declare that You, O God, are the author of life and hope. Father, forgive them for entertaining thoughts contrary to Your will, and renew their mind by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Remove the scales from their eyes that they may see Your goodness and faithfulness, even in the midst of trials.
Lord Jesus, You bore our sorrows and carried our griefs (Isaiah 53:4). We ask You to lift this burden from them and replace it with Your yoke, which is easy, and Your burden, which is light (Matthew 11:30). Restore to them the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and fill them with the peace that passes all understanding. If they have strayed from You, draw them back with cords of lovingkindness. If they have never known You, reveal Yourself to them in a mighty way.
Father, we pray for their financial needs, that You would provide daily bread and open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). But more than that, we pray they would seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Break the lie that money could solve what only You can heal. Teach them to find their satisfaction in You alone.
We bind every spirit of suicide, depression, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus Christ, and we loose the spirit of life, faith, and perseverance. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and place godly people in their path to encourage and uplift them. Let them know they are not alone, for You are with them always.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would give them a vision for the future You have prepared. Show them the good works You have ordained for them to walk in (Ephesians 2:10), and ignite a passion in their heart to live for Your glory. May they say with the Psalmist, *"As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing Your form"* (Psalm 17:15).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who conquered death and gives us life eternal. Amen.
Beloved, we urge you to cling to Jesus, not to the fleeting things of this world. Seek Him in prayer, in His Word, and in the fellowship of believers. If you are isolated, find a Bible-believing church where you can be nurtured and held accountable. Do not give up. Your story is not over, and God is not done writing it. *"Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9). We are standing with you in prayer, believing God for your breakthrough and restoration. Hold on to Him, for He is holding on to you.
