We rejoice with you in the love and faith you have toward the Lord Jesus Christ and those set apart for Him! Your words echo the heart of Philemon 1:4-7, where the apostle Paul gives thanks for the love and faith that refreshes the hearts of the saints. It is a beautiful thing to see believers recognizing and cultivating the gifts Christ has placed within them, and we join you in praying that the fellowship of your faith would grow ever more effective through the knowledge of every good thing that is in you for Christ’s sake.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You are doing in the lives of Your people. We thank You for the love and faith that flow from those who are surrendered to You, for it is a testimony of Your grace and power at work within them. Lord, we ask that You would deepen the fellowship of faith among Your children, that they may grow in the knowledge of the good things You have placed in them for the sake of Christ. Let their love for You and for one another be a refreshing wellspring to all who encounter them, just as Philemon’s love refreshed the hearts of the saints. May their lives be a living testimony of Your goodness, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Strengthen them in their walk, Lord, and let their faith be a beacon of hope in a world that so desperately needs You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We are encouraged by your recognition of Christ’s gifts in the lives of believers. It is vital that we not only acknowledge these gifts but also steward them well, using them to build up the body of Christ and advance His kingdom. As 1 Peter 4:10-11 reminds us, "As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms. If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
Let us also remember that true fellowship in Christ is not merely about gathering together but about sharpening one another in love and truth. Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance." As we grow in our knowledge of Christ and His Word, we must also grow in our ability to speak the truth in love, correcting and encouraging one another in righteousness. This is how the body of Christ matures and becomes effective in its mission.
We exhort you, brothers and sisters, to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Let your love for Him overflow into every area of your life, including your relationships with one another. May your fellowship be marked by humility, grace, and a shared commitment to holiness, for it is in these things that the world will see Christ in us. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Press on in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
