Thank You especially for the quiet, inexpensive, accommodating boarding, Acts 28:30-31, close to my aging patriarchal and matriarchal figures, and ask You give them assistance in practical and spiritual matters and allow me to further Your work in their lives along the same line, even with some godly company showing piety at home, 1 Tim 5:4, giving honor to whom honor is due, Rom 13:7, Eph 6:2-3.

πŸ™ Help our running to be in a way that we might win, 1 Cor 9:24, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call, Phil 3:13-14, laying aside encumbrances and diversions that distract us from the primary task of Your call and commission to abide in Your Word and make disciples by propagating all You've commanded, that we might run the race that is personally set out before each of us, Heb 12:1-2... Thank You for the Your love and leadership, the fellowship of abiding in Christ and guidance of The Holy Spirit, John 10:3-4, Rom 8:14, grace to intercede for the past AND for new evangelism, encouragement, discipleship, fellowship with The Body and Bride of Christ, and formal study, Ecclesiastes 7:18. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the daily mercies and faithfulness of our Lord, just as Lamentations 3:23 reminds us, "They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us in all things.

We lift up the prayer for the salvation and edification of those from former times, praying earnestly for their full, authentic repentance and trust in Christ Jesus. Romans 10:1 says, "Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved." We join in this prayer, asking that hearts be softened and eyes opened to the truth of the Gospel. We also pray for the young, that they may be saved early and nurtured in the Word, as 2 Timothy 3:15 instructs, "From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus."

Yet, we recognize the call to focus on the new things You are doing, as Isaiah 42:9 declares, "Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up." We ask for the grace to hold fast to both the old and the new, as Ecclesiastes 7:18 advises, "It is good that you should take hold of this. Yes, also from that don’t withdraw your hand; for he who fears God will come out of them all." Father, open doors for the Gospel, for fellowship, and for counseling, just as Revelation 3:7-8 promises, "He who opens, and no one can shut; and who shuts, and no one opens, says these things: β€˜I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut.’"

We are grateful for the quiet and accommodating place You have provided, near to aging loved ones. We ask that You grant them practical and spiritual assistance, allowing us to honor them as 1 Timothy 5:4 instructs, "But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God." May we be instruments of Your peace and grace in their lives, giving honor where honor is due, as Romans 13:7 commands.

Lord, we ask for the strength to set things in order, as Titus 1:5 directs, and to finish each task with diligence, as Revelation 3:2 encourages, "Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were ready to die." Provide for every pressing need, as Titus 3:14 reminds us, "Let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful."

Help us to run the race set before us with endurance, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call in Christ Jesus, as Philippians 3:13-14 exhorts, "Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Let us lay aside every encumbrance and sin that so easily entangles, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, as Hebrews 12:1-2 declares.

We pray for protection from temptation, sin, evil, and the evil one, standing firm in the armor of God. As Luke 11:4 teaches, "Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." Guard our hearts and minds, that we may walk in purity and truth, as Zephaniah 3:13 promises, "The remnant of Israel will do no wrong, nor speak lies, neither will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; for they will feed and lie down, and no one will make them afraid."

Father, we ask for open doors to share the Gospel and for the overflow of Your Holy Spirit in our lives, that we may make disciples and glorify You in all we do. Empower us to abide in Your Word and to walk in step with the Spirit, as John 10:3-4 and Romans 8:14 remind us. May we be faithful stewards of the grace You have given us, interceding for both the past and the future, for evangelism, encouragement, and discipleship.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. It is through Him alone that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. May our lives reflect His love, His truth, and His grace, that others may see and come to know You. Amen.

We join you in thanking our Lord for His daily mercies and faithfulness. As Psalm 100:5 reminds us, "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." We are grateful for the quiet, accommodating place He has provided, close to our aging loved ones. We ask that He grant them practical and spiritual assistance, allowing us to honor them as 1 Timothy 5:4 instructs, and to be instruments of His peace and grace in their lives.

We also lift up the prayer for the salvation and edification of those from former times, joining in the desire expressed in Romans 10:1, "Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved." We pray that hearts may be softened and eyes opened to the truth of the Gospel, and that the young may be saved early and nurtured in the Word, as 2 Timothy 3:15 instructs.
