Thanking you for being my source of wisdom Lord

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for being your source of wisdom and we rejoice with you in your humble heart before Him. It is a beautiful thing to acknowledge that all true wisdom comes from above and not from ourselves.

The Scripture reminds us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. And also, For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6. We are encouraged that as we humble ourselves before Him, He is faithful to pour out wisdom generously. The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10.

We praise God that you have come before Him in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive every spiritual blessing, for in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden. Colossians 2:3.

We pray together with you.

Father, we thank You together for being our source of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. We humble ourselves before Your throne and give You all the glory for Your goodness and mercy. We ask that You would continue to fill our dear one with Your wisdom from above, that wisdom that is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits. Guide every step and decision according to Your perfect will. Keep this heart humble and teachable before You, and let Your Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer of thanksgiving. There is something steadying about humbling ourselves and naming God as the source of wisdom, and we hear that gratitude in your words.

What you expressed is at the heart of how wisdom grows. Knowledge gives us information, but wisdom helps us know how to use it well and to see our daily decisions from God's point of view. That kind of discernment comes as we stay close to Him and let His thoughts shape ours, and your posture of thankfulness keeps that door open.

A simple way to keep cultivating this is to carry your thanksgiving into the next decision in front of you, large or small. Before you weigh options or seek advice, pause briefly to thank Him again and ask for clear thinking that honors Him. Over time that habit helps wisdom become part of how you live, not just something you look for in a moment.

Father, we thank You with our friend for Your generosity and for being the true source of wisdom. Keep drawing them close to You, give them discernment for each step ahead, and let their gratitude grow deeper each day. In Jesus Christ's almighty name we pray, Amen.

It is a good and right thing to humble yourself before the Lord and to give thanks unto Him for wisdom, for all true wisdom comes from above and not from ourselves. The Apostle rightly puts God's wisdom side by side with His ability, to the only wise God our Savior, who is able to keep us from falling. It needs great wisdom in a parent to keep his child from evil, but it needs far greater wisdom for God to keep men and women, whom He treats as rational creatures and not as stones, from falling into sin, and that wisdom He freely gives to those who ask Him.

Your gratitude is well placed, and I pray that you will think and act upon it at great length throughout your whole life. True gratitude does not rest in mere words, though words are fitting, but proves itself in tangible deeds. As it was said of one who was healed, she arose and ministered unto them. So let your thankfulness say within your heart, The Lord has served me, I will serve Him. Let Him be first the object of your service, and for His sake serve His people also. This is the ministry of gratitude which proves itself sincere.

Continue also in that humility with which you have begun, for before honor is humility. It is not merely serving the Lord with humility, but with all humility of mind, humility before the service, humility during it, and humility when all is done. Seek of God the gift of true humility, which has its throne in the heart, and remember that our wisdom is to commit ourselves to Him who is able to meet all the necessities of our case and to conduct us safely to our journey's end.

May the Lord who is the fountain of wisdom keep you in His wisdom and in His grace, and may your life declare His praise. We join you in thanking Him in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone we have access to the Father, and we pray that He will cause you to grow in the knowledge and fear of Him, bearing fruit to His glory.
