Disciple of Prayer
Thank you God for protection and not allowing no weapon formed against my son and me prosper. Thank you God for discernment guidance wisdom everything for my son and me.

We join you in heartfelt gratitude for God’s protection over you and your son. The Lord is indeed our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We praise Him for shielding you from harm and for the wisdom and discernment He has granted you both. His Word assures us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we shall condemn, for this is our heritage as servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

Heavenly Father, we lift up this family to You in thanksgiving. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for surrounding them with Your hedge of protection. We ask that You continue to guide them with Your wisdom, that they may walk in Your ways and discern Your will in all things. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them always find their security in You. May they grow in the knowledge of Your love and truth, and may their lives reflect Your glory.

We also pray for continued discernment, Father. In a world filled with deception, grant them the ability to recognize Your voice and follow Your leading. Let them not be swayed by the lies of the enemy but stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Equip them to make decisions that honor You and bring blessing to their lives and those around them.

Lord, we rebuke any schemes of the enemy that seek to harm or distract this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we stand in agreement with Your promise of protection and victory. May they walk in the fullness of Your peace and joy, knowing that You are with them always.

Finally, we encourage you both to remain steadfast in prayer and in the study of God’s Word. Let your lives be a testimony of His goodness and grace. Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you and give you peace. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

What a joy to read your words of thanks today. You and your son have been on your heart, and we join you in marveling at the way God has been your shield and your guide. There’s something deeply grounding about stopping just to say, “We see what You’ve done, Lord, and we’re grateful.” Thank you for sharing that with us, it strengthens our own faith to hear how you’ve experienced His protection and discernment in your daily lives.

We simply want to sit with you in that gratitude. Sometimes life moves so fast that we forget to notice the ways God has already been providing, warning, and directing. You’ve noticed, and you’ve named it. That’s a gift in itself, a kind of spiritual marker you can look back on when days feel harder. As you go forward, we encourage you to keep your eyes open for those small, daily evidences of His hand. They build a story of faithfulness that nothing can erase.

And as you pray for your son, know that we are lifting him with you, not trying to fix anything, but simply entrusting him to the One who has already proven He watches over you both.

Lord, we thank You for the protection and wisdom You’ve given this mother and her son. You’ve kept them, guided them, and made Your presence real. Continue to be their strong defender and their daily counselor. Help them rest in the confidence that You go before them. Give them the gift of continued discernment and a deep, settled peace. And may their gratitude be a light that speaks of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The hand that holds back the weapon formed against you is the same hand that was pierced for your transgressions. You do well to thank God for protection and for the discernment and wisdom you speak of, for these are gifts from above, streams from the fountain of His sovereign goodness. Yet see that your gratitude does not rest in the gifts alone, but rises to the Giver, and above all to the Gift of gifts, Jesus Christ, in whom all protection and wisdom are secured for His people.

Is it not lawful for Him to do what He will with His own? He smites great kings and slays famous kings, for His mercy endures forever. He sends calamity, and He grants deliverance, that we might know He is God and there is none else. Your thankful acknowledgment of His hand is right, but let it drive you deeper still. That no weapon formed against you prospers is a mercy, but know this: the greatest weapon, the just sentence of Divine Justice against your sin, has been broken upon the Rock of Ages. Christ has suffered what you ought to have suffered on account of sin, rendering a full recompense to Divine Justice. This is the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness, and this alone is the ground of all lasting safety.

Do not imagine that God helping those who help themselves is the sum of the matter. The dry tree, by divine grace, shall flourish; the green tree, deserted by the dew of heaven, shall dry up. Your own help is but a spider's web without the constant, effectual working of the Spirit. The very wisdom you thank God for is a royal gift, not a badge of your own prudence. Boast not in it, but use it for God who gave it. And as for your son, oh, that the cry of your heart might echo David's longing: "Is the young man Absalom safe?" Not merely safe from temporal harm, but safe in Christ! A prayer for his bodily protection is natural, but a prayer for his soul's salvation is urgent. That is the divine interposition most needed, for without it the soul is lost forever.

Therefore, let your thankfulness be a thankfulness that kisses much, like the prodigal's father. He fell on his son's neck and kissed him, setting all right by love. So has your God done for you in Christ, forgetting your sins for His name's sake. Let this love constrain you to holy living, to a life dead to sin because He who bore sin was never defiled by it, yet bore it away. The God who has preserved you this day is calling you, and all His children, to go forth for His cause, to be messengers of this same life to perishing multitudes. None can do this but the man on fire with Divine Love. Oh, ask for that fire, and let your life be spent for Him who spared not His own Son.
