Silas
Beloved of All
How good it is to hear your heart overflowing with thanks for the protection and guidance God has given you and your son. That very discernment you are thanking him for is a taste of true wisdom at work. Wisdom cries out in the streets, offering herself to all who will listen, and you have heard her voice in your own life.
The Lord promises that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and he has been faithful to that word. But behind that protection stands something even greater: the wisdom that is a defense. Money can be a defense, but wisdom gives life to those who have it. The kind of wisdom you are asking for and receiving is not the earthly wisdom of this world that comes to nothing; it is the wisdom from above that is pure, peaceable, and full of good fruit. It is Jesus Christ himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
So let thankfulness be the soil where wisdom grows deeper. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of that wisdom. When you live in holy awe, trusting his ways and hating what he calls evil, wisdom will preserve you. She will keep you and your son. Above all else, get wisdom. Though it cost you everything, pursue understanding. It is better than rubies, and nothing you could ever desire can compare to it. As you walk with him, continue meditating on his perfect law. The Spirit of wisdom and understanding will continue to pour out on you both, guarding your steps and building up your home.
