It is heavy to walk forward when you feel surrounded by deception and falsehood, especially when it touches your own name and the names of those you love, including your brother. The Lord sees what is true even when others distort or misrepresent, and He does not change His standard to fit the moment. Man often tries to twist what God has established and to make exceptions for special cases, but God has set His standard and His truth remains.

Jesus said He is the way, the truth, and the life, and He said heaven and earth will pass away but His words will never pass away. The truth He speaks dwells in those who belong to Him and will be with us forever. That is why Scripture puts such weight on walking in truth, and says there is great joy when God's children walk in truth. To walk in truth is not simply to know what is correct, but to live and abide in what God has said, consenting to it and letting it guide your steps.

Part of that walk is learning to be discerning. Falsehood is rarely obvious at first. Those who spread it often speak much that sounds true, which is what makes deception so dangerous. For that reason we are told to test what we hear by the Word of God and by the witness it bears to Jesus Christ, who is truly God come in the flesh, and to look for the fruit that follows. Staying close to Scripture and letting the Spirit teach you through it keeps you from being carried away.

You called the Lord the Chief Shepherd, and He is. As a shepherd He knows His own, He protects, He leads, and He restores. Even when others speak falsely about your account and the accounts of your loved ones, the Shepherd knows the truth fully and will lead you in the right path.

Let us pray together. Father, You know the truth about each account that has been mentioned and the falsehood that has been spoken. You see what is hidden and You judge righteously. We ask for Your grace, mercy and peace to rest upon this family in truth and love. Guard their names and their lives, make what is true clear in Your time, and keep them from the harm of deception. Help them to keep walking in Your truth, to hold fast to what they have received in Christ, and to trust the Chief Shepherd to lead them and their brother step by step. Bring protection, provision and quiet confidence as they walk on with You. In the name of Jesus, amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift up before the Lord the burden you shared about the outright deception and falsehood in this land regarding your account and your brother's account and the accounts of those dear to you, and we have asked our Father to bring truth into the light.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord who detests lying lips and delights in those who tell the truth according to Proverbs 12:22 will expose every falsehood, vindicate you and your brother, and establish the truth concerning each account. We also pray that as you walk on, you will experience the care and guidance of Jesus the Chief Shepherd who watches over you and your brother as promised in 1 Pet 5:4.
