Dear Lord - I thank you for my life today but I will be asking you to help and guide me because I am starting to feel depressed again about my work. Please help me to overcome this feeling of being left out. I don’t know what to do I feel like I am ignored even tho I’m working so hard in a project but I feel like my boss doesn’t appreciate or recognize what I have done. Touch him Lord so he is able to see my worth in this company I pray in Jesus Name. amen

We join with you in thanking the Lord for another day of life and for your grateful heart even in the midst of discouragement, and we lift you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name.

We hear the heaviness you are carrying about your work, that feeling of being left out and overlooked despite your hard work and diligence on your project. It is painful when our labor seems unseen by those in authority over us, and it is understandable that this would stir up feelings of depression and of questioning your worth. We want to remind you that your true worth and value are not determined by your boss or your company, but by God who created you and sees all that you do.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ, Colossians 3:23-24. And also, With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, Ephesians 6:7. When we shift our focus to working for the Lord's approval rather than man's recognition, we find a deeper purpose and peace even when human appreciation is lacking. God sees every effort you make in honesty and diligence, and nothing is hidden from Him.

The Lord is also near to you in this season of sadness. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. We encourage you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We also encourage you not to let this discouragement take root into despair. Continue to be faithful in your duties, and if the Lord leads, humbly and respectfully seek a conversation with your boss to share your contributions and ask for feedback, committing the outcome to God. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up, Galatians 6:9.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this dear one's life and for the work You have given. We thank You that we can come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, You see the diligence and the heart behind this project, even when it feels ignored by others. We ask You to lift this burden of depression and feeling left out, and replace it with Your peace and assurance that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and valued by You. Comfort this weary heart and remind them that their labor for You is never in vain. We ask You to touch the heart of their boss, to give him eyes to see and a spirit of fairness and appreciation, and to grant favor and open recognition where it is due according to Your will. Grant wisdom to navigate the workplace with grace and strength to persevere with joy. May all that is done bring glory to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how heavy this feels for you, you are thanking God for life and still carrying that ache of feeling left out and unseen at work, even while you are giving so much to your project. It is discouraging to work hard and wonder if it matters to anyone, especially to your boss.

That sense of being ignored can wear on anyone, and we are glad you brought it honestly to the Lord instead of holding it alone. He sees your diligence and your heart to do good work, even on days when recognition does not come.

One small step that sometimes helps when you feel invisible is to create a little clarity for yourself and for your boss. You might keep a brief private list of what you have contributed to the project this week, and then ask your boss for a short check-in, not to demand praise, but simply to ask, "Is there anything you would like me to adjust or focus on next?" It can open the door for your work to be seen more clearly and give you helpful direction either way.

If that low feeling keeps returning or gets heavier, please consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support close by.

Father, we lift our brother to You today. Thank You for his life and for his desire to work faithfully. Comfort his heart where he feels overlooked, give him wisdom for next steps at work, and guide him with Your peace. Help his boss to see his efforts fairly, and help him to know his worth is secure in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your coming before the Lord with such plain honesty is itself a mercy from Him, and He hears the sigh of a heavy heart. You have told the truth about your soul, that you feel depressed again, left out and ignored despite hard and faithful labor, and that you long for your worth to be seen. The Lord loves truth in the inward parts, and He would have us deal honestly with Him, telling Him just as things are.

There are seasons when serious pain and depression of spirit come upon even the most diligent servant of Christ, and we are tempted to question His tender love and gracious care. In such times do not hide your feeling, nor pretend to a joy you do not possess. If there seems to be no feeling, come and tell the Lord that you do not feel. If you feel overlooked and unappreciated, tell Him so in plain speech. He is not distant from such prayers. He knows what it is to labor and to be unrecognized by men, and He sees what your boss does not see.

Remember that your true worth is not measured by the recognition of any master on earth. You are His, bought with precious blood, and your labor, when done as unto the Lord and not unto men, is never in vain in Him. Man may forget, but God records every faithful hour, every quiet diligence, every task done heartily for Christ's sake. Let Colossians teach you in this trial, that whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord.

And yet we will pray with you for your daily work. We ask the Lord to lift this cloud that has settled upon you, to give you again on this Hill Beulah the breezes from the Celestial City, that you may smell the spices of the Glory Land where Emmanuel is King and know yourself beloved in His bosom. We ask Him to guard your heart from bitterness, to keep you in a truthful spirit, and to give you strength to continue in honest, excellent work even when praise is withheld.

We also pray for your employer, that God would give him eyes to see faithfully and to govern justly, and that He would give you grace to speak, if opportunity arises, with meekness and wisdom about your labor. Seek also the fellowship of the saints, that you need not bear this burden alone in silence, but may have brethren to weep with you and to water the floor with tears beside you until joy returns.

Let us pray together.

Gracious Father, we thank Thee for this dear soul who has brought an honest heart before Thee. Thou seest the diligence offered and the discouragement felt. Look in great mercy upon this Thy child. Lift up the light of Thy countenance and breathe peace upon a depressed spirit. Keep this one from sinking, teach the heart to rest not in the praise of men but in Christ, and let daily work be done for Thy glory. Touch those in authority, grant them fairness and understanding, and provide encouragement where it is needed. Restore unto Thy servant a steady hope and a quiet confidence in Thy tender care. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, Amen.

God bless you friend. You are worthy to be seen and acknowledged for all your accomplishments and contributions at work. Even if your boss doesn't see it, God does and knows your heart and mind and will surely reward you with blessings.
