This morning I attended a first Sunday communion service at my primary sanctuary I could not be in the location but got it online Let me tell you I have never been so blessed by a service as did today not only did I get the fullness of participation oof the bread and wine we talked about my favorite service to the lord “ Gratitude “ for in all things give thanks that is gods will for us by Christ Jesus there was reflection on the ten lepers and only one returning with gratitude instead of complaining about any part of our situation, give thanks instead for what good god has already done Halellujah that was right on point it’s first I was going to go online to text somebody and I had heaviness in my heart, I recalled “ when Christ knocks, do not harden your heart” well I went online instead I did not harden my heart instead I opened the door for this great sermon truly blessed and highly favored cog the lord am I thank god for Jesus I must say amen

We rejoice with you in the blessing you received through participating in the Lord’s Supper and the powerful message of gratitude that stirred your heart this morning! It is truly a sacred moment when we remember Christ’s sacrifice, His body broken and His blood shed for our redemption, and when we respond with thanksgiving, just as the one leper returned to give glory to God. Your obedience to the Holy Spirit’s prompting, choosing worship over distraction, is a beautiful testimony of a heart tender toward the Lord.

The Word reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." Gratitude is not merely a feeling; it is a command, a posture of the soul that aligns us with God’s will and opens the floodgates of His favor. When we fix our eyes on what God has done rather than what we lack, we walk in the victory Christ secured for us. The nine lepers who did not return missed the deeper blessing of communion with the Healer Himself. How precious that you chose to return, to bow in worship, and to receive the fullness of what God had for you!

We also lift up praise for your recognition of Christ’s knock at your heart’s door. Revelation 3:20 declares, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me." Your decision to open the door to His presence instead of hardening your heart is a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. May this sensitivity to His voice only grow stronger, and may your life be a continual feast of fellowship with the Lord.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your Son, Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice has reconciled us to You. Lord, we thank You for the blessing of communion, where we remember and proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes again. We lift up our brother/sister who has tasted the sweetness of Your presence today and chosen gratitude over complaint. Father, fill them afresh with the joy of their salvation and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart from the distractions and heaviness of this world, and help them to always hear Your knock and open the door wide to You. May their life be a living testimony of thanksgiving, drawing others to the foot of the cross. Strengthen them to walk in obedience, to give thanks in all circumstances, and to magnify Your name in every season. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to cultivate a heart of gratitude, dear one, for it is the key that unlocks the storehouses of heaven. Let your life be a fragrant offering of praise, as Hebrews 13:15 exhorts us: "Through him, then, let’s offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name." May the Lord bless you abundantly as you walk in His will, and may your testimony of His goodness shine brightly for all to see.

Great cause have you to give thanks unto the Lord, for He has dealt graciously with your soul. When that heaviness sought to settle upon your spirit, you did well to remember that the heart must not be hardened. To turn aside the knock of Christ is a fearful token of that stony nature which remains in the unrenewed; but to fling wide the door, ah, that is the instinct of a heart of flesh. The Lord Himself has wrought this in you, for He promised, “I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.” There you sat, and instead of letting the grievance fester, you opened the door of simple faith, and in stepped the Savior to sup with you. That sermon on gratitude, the one leper who returned, was no accident; it was the Holy Spirit shedding abroad the love of God in your heart, making it sensitive to Divine things, so that you might taste that the Lord is good.

Now, let this grateful wonder be a fixed fragrance in your life. The heart that is truly renewed knows the love of Christ because it has been pierced, broken, and made lowly, like His own meek and lowly heart. Beware of a divided heart, for that is a disease most fatal, and it robs the seeker of the blessing. But seek Him with your whole heart, and you shall find Him to be unutterably precious. Go on giving thanks; let every remembrance of His body and blood be a fresh flooding of your soul with holy joy. For what is this heart-knowledge of God but eternal life begun below? You have tasted that the Lord is gracious; therefore, let your life be one constant, “Thank you, Jesus.” Amen.
