We thank God with you for the better sleep He gave last night, and we join you in giving thanks to Jesus Christ for His mercy that is new every morning. It is good that you are bringing every part of your life before the Lord, your health, your work, your marriage, and the needs of those who pray for you.

Your desire to have a softer heart and to forgive your wife as Christ has forgiven you is pleasing to God. When you bear with patience the hurt that comes when she has drunk too much and speaks in anger, you gain much. You grow in fortitude and in mildness, you are kept free from lasting anger and the sorrow that anger brings, and you show the patience of Christ who endured much for us. We punish ourselves when we hold on to hatred, and we bless ourselves when we choose love. May the Lord help you to love without hating, to grieve without holding a grudge, and to answer with gentleness even when you are wronged. Marriage is honorable and pure before God, and it is meant to preserve holiness and to be a place where husband and wife help one another toward salvation. There is real hope that through faithful love and prayer, a spouse may be helped and reclaimed. Continue to love your wife faithfully, to pray for her, and to speak the truth in love about drinking. Wine itself is not the master, but using it beyond measure harms the soul and the home. Pray that God will give her a desire for moderation and sobriety, and for a softened heart, and pray that He will keep softening your own heart as well.

We also bring your physical pain before the Lord, the pain in your left arm and elbow and hand. It is wise and right that you plan to call your doctor today to be seen and heard and to get help. God often brings healing through the care of doctors, and we pray He will guide that visit, give wisdom to those who care for you, and bring relief.

We pray with you for your work today, for your projects and proposals, that God would give you clarity, diligence, and strength to do them correctly and on time. We ask Him to soften the hearts of your bosses and coworkers and customers, to give you favor and peace in that place, and to let your work be done as service to Him with patience and hope. The Scriptures build patience in us, and patience builds hope, and hope sustains patience while we wait for the Lord.

Do not be sorry for bringing the same prayers before God many times each day. He does not grow weary of your voice. He invites us to wait for Him with patience and to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. He hears every prayer and He delights to help His children. He is also blessing those special people who have been praying for you and your family, and we thank God for them with you.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, thank You for watching over Your child through the night and for Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Soften his heart and his wife's heart. Help him to forgive as he has been forgiven, to be patient as Christ was patient, and to be free from anger. Bring healing to his arm and hand and guide his doctor. Give him wisdom and steadiness in his work today, and soften the hearts of those around him at work and at home. Deliver his wife from excess in drinking and from moody anger, and make their marriage strong, pure, and peaceful. Hear his repeated prayers with compassion, and bless all who pray for this family. Give them all a good day today in Your grace. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Your thankfulness is a good place to begin, and it is right to thank Jesus Christ for the gift of better sleep. Every good gift comes from Him, and a grateful heart keeps your eyes on Him through both good nights and hard days.

Your prayer to have a soft heart when your wife has been drinking and becomes moody and angry is exactly what God desires for you. Scripture calls us to forgive one another even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us. That forgiveness is not because the hurt is small, but because we have been forgiven so much. God also wants you to be fair and just and to do what is right in your dealings. That means not returning anger for anger, not hardening your heart, but also not pretending that drunkenness and harsh words are harmless. Love keeps your heart soft while it also speaks the truth and seeks what is truly good for your wife and your marriage. Marriage is a covenant before God between one man and one woman, and God uses it to picture His own faithfulness. Keep praying for her, keep showing kindness, and seek wise and godly counsel to help you walk through this in a way that is both loving and truthful. When you have prayed with someone who is struggling, you may not see at once what God is doing, but your faithful prayer and steady love are not wasted.

You asked for healing for the pain in your left arm and elbow and hand, and your plan to call your doctor is a wise step. God is our healer and our ultimate trust is to be in Him, not in the strength of man alone. Scripture warns against making flesh our arm and turning our heart from the Lord, and it blesses the one who trusts in the Lord. That does not mean we refuse help. It means we look to the Lord first and trust Him to work, even through doctors and care, while our hope remains in Him. Bring your pain to Him and also follow through with the appointment so you can be seen and get help.

Your desire to do your projects and proposals correctly and on time honors God. He is pleased when we work with honesty and diligence and deal righteously with bosses, coworkers and customers. Continue to do the right thing in your work, and ask Him for grace to be faithful in small details. A softened heart toward others, including those you work with, often begins with your own example of patience and integrity.

Do not apologize for bringing the same requests to God many times every day. He does not grow weary of your voice. Jesus taught us to keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking. God is merciful and He invites you to return to Him again and again, to acknowledge your need and to trust His forgiveness and care. Repeated prayer is not a failure of faith, it is persistence of faith. He hears you every time, and He is working even when you cannot yet see the answer.

It is also good that you prayed for those who have been praying for you and your family. God joins His people together in prayer, and He blesses those who carry one another's burdens.

May the Lord continue to give you rest, ease your pain, give you wisdom for your work, and give you a soft and forgiving heart that reflects how Christ has forgiven you. May He bring peace to your home, convict and comfort your wife, and draw you both closer to Himself. Keep bringing every need to Him, trusting that He hears and that His mercy endures.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting up your thanksgiving for better sleep and we continue to pray for your rest each night. We are praying with you for a softened heart and for the grace to forgive your wife even when drinking leads to moodiness and anger, just as we are forgiven. We remember what is written in Eph 4:32 to be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave us.

We are also bringing before the Lord the pain in your left arm and elbow and hand and we pray for healing and for wisdom and favor as you call your doctors office for an appointment to be seen and heard and to get help. We pray for your work that God would help you complete your projects and proposals correctly and on time today, and we continue to pray for the softening of the hearts of your bosses and coworkers and customers and especially your wife.

Please do not feel that you need to apologize for bringing the same requests to the Lord many times each day. We serve a Father who invites us to come boldly to His throne of grace and to pray without ceasing as seen in Heb 4:16 and 1 Thess 5:17. He delights to hear your voice and to help you.

If your request was answered and you have experienced better sleep or relief from pain or peace at work and at home, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are praying for you and your family and for all who are praying for you. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.

We pray this in Jesus Name Amen.
