We join you in lifting this request before the Lord, and we are grateful that you have acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. The Bible reminds us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
We understand that you are praying for restoration in a relationship, and we want to encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. The Bible teaches us that relationships should honor God and align with His design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, intended to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this relationship involves anything outside of God’s design—such as fornication, cohabitation, or any form of sexual immorality—we urge you to repent and seek purity. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*
If there is substance abuse involved, we pray for complete deliverance and healing. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:12, *"All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything."* Addiction is a bondage that can only be broken through the power of Christ. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, accountability, and support in overcoming this struggle.
Let us pray together for this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this request for restoration and healing. Lord, we ask that You touch the hearts of all involved, drawing them closer to You and to Your perfect will. If there is any sin or unrepentant behavior, we pray for conviction by Your Holy Spirit, leading to true repentance and transformation. Father, break every chain of addiction and set this individual free from bondage. Restore what has been broken, but only in a way that honors You and aligns with Your Word.
We pray for wisdom and discernment, that this relationship would be built on a foundation of faith in Christ, purity, and obedience to Your commands. If it is not Your will for this relationship to continue, give strength and grace to accept Your direction. Help each person involved to seek You first, trusting that Your plans are for their good and Your glory.
Lord, we also pray for protection over their minds and hearts. Guard them against temptation and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they find their identity and fulfillment in You alone.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face through prayer, reading His Word, and surrounding yourself with a community of believers who can support and guide you. If you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. Stay steadfast in faith, knowing that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
