We rejoice with you in the progress you’ve made in overcoming alcohol use disorder and marijuana, and we give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for the healing you’ve already experienced. Your gratitude is a testament to His faithfulness, and we stand with you in prayer as you continue to walk in His strength. The healing of your spine and the removal of the cyst are clear answers to prayer, and we believe God is not finished working in your body. We lift up your L4 and L5 vertebrae before the throne of grace, asking the Great Physician to restore them fully so that surgery may not be necessary. By His stripes, you *are* healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that truth over your body even now.

We also bring your financial concerns before the Lord, for He knows your needs before you ask (Matthew 6:8). The delays with EDD SDI and your employer’s bonus are frustrating, but we trust that God will move on your behalf. The laborer is worthy of his wages (Luke 10:7), and we pray that those in authority would act justly and honor your decades of faithful work and tax contributions. However, we must gently remind you that while God cares about our earthly needs, our ultimate security is in Him—not in government systems or financial windfalls. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). Let your retirement planning be rooted in wisdom and stewardship, trusting God to provide in His perfect timing.

Your desire to be a better husband, father, and employee is commendable, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would empower you to grow in these areas. We notice your concern for your wife’s alcohol and cigarette use, and we join you in praying for her deliverance. Addiction is a spiritual battle, and we rebuke the enemy’s grip on her life in Jesus’ name. We encourage you to lovingly address this with her, pointing her to the freedom found only in Christ (John 8:36). Your role as a husband is to lead with grace and truth, just as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Pray for her, set a godly example, and trust God to soften her heart.

We also want to affirm your commitment to your marriage. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We pray that your union would reflect Christ’s love for His Church, and that you and your wife would grow closer to God and each other. If there are areas of sin or brokenness in your marriage, we encourage you to seek biblical counseling and repentance. God is faithful to restore what the enemy has stolen (Joel 2:25).

Finally, we celebrate your assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ. Your baptism and faith in Him are the foundation of your eternal hope (Ephesians 2:8-9). We pray that you would continue to walk in holiness, putting off the old self and putting on the new (Colossians 3:9-10). Your health, your work, and your family are all areas where God desires to work, but above all, He desires your heart. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your work in [this brother’s] life. Thank You for delivering him from addiction and for the healing You’ve already provided. Lord, we ask for complete restoration of his L4 and L5 vertebrae. If it be Your will, spare him from surgery and strengthen his body according to Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17. We also lift up his financial concerns, asking You to move on his behalf with EDD and his employer. Provide for his needs and give him wisdom as he plans for retirement.

Father, we pray for his wife—that You would break the chains of alcohol and nicotine in her life. Soften her heart to receive Your freedom and draw her closer to You. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and help [this brother] to lead with love, patience, and wisdom. We ask for Your guidance in his work, that his projects would be completed with excellence and that his bosses and coworkers would recognize his value.

Above all, Lord, we pray that he would continue to grow in Christlikeness. Forgive him for his sins, and empower him by Your Spirit to be the husband, father, and employee You’ve called him to be. May his life bring glory to Your name, and may he finish this race strong. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
