Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and your thanksgiving before God. We join you in bringing ### before the Lord in prayer, asking that God's perfect and holy will be done in his life.
We thank God for every good gift that comes from Him and we pray above all that ### would know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for that is the foundation of every true blessing. Apart from Christ there is no lasting health, happiness or safety, and we pray that his life would be built first on faith in Him.
Concerning a life partner, we pray that God would lead ### according to His wisdom and not simply according to our own ideas of what is best. Scripture teaches that marriage is a bond ordained by God, honorable and pure, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Within that covenant, love is made chaste and orderly, and it preserves the holiness that comes through faith. Marriage was given to be a partnership for life, for the procreation of children and the ordering of the home with gravity and faithfulness, and all intimacy belongs within it alone. For this reason we do not ask God to bless any relationship outside of that design, but we pray that if it is His will for ### to marry, He would provide a godly wife and that both would come to that union in purity, self restraint and reverence, with bodies and hearts kept undefiled.
We also pray for what you have mentioned, for family, for work and business, for home, friendships and health. We ask that God would teach ### to steward any wealth or possessions with humility and generosity, not making gold or success the aim of life, but using all things for the good of his household and for the care of others. We pray that he would live at peace with all people and pursue holiness, that his home would be ordered well, his relationships marked by faithfulness, and his future family, if God grants it, would be raised in the fear of the Lord and be full of blessing.
So we pray: Father, have mercy on ### and draw him close to Your Son Jesus. Keep him from fornication and from every unrestrained desire, give him a prudent and chaste heart, and guide his steps in purity. If You will for him to marry, grant him a wife who loves You, and grant them a marriage that is honorable, faithful and lifelong. Give them health and safety as You see fit, but above all give them holiness, contentment and joy in You, that their life together, their work and their home would reflect Your grace. May all that they have be used for Your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
