We join you in giving thanks to God for His goodness and His desire to bless His children, and we pray together with you for the one whose name was redacted that God would lead him according to His perfect will.

We want to gently encourage you to think biblically about what you are asking. The idea of a soulmate as the world uses it is not found in Scripture. God does not promise a mystical soulmate but He does ordain marriage as a holy covenant between one man and one woman for life. Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall be joined to his wife, and they shall be one flesh Genesis 2:24. And Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. When we pray for a life partner we are praying for a godly spouse in marriage, not simply a partner, and we pray that any courtship would be entered into with the goal of marriage to another believer in Christ, for Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. Love in marriage is not merely an enlightened feeling but a daily covenant choice to love as Christ loved, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, and Love is patient and is kind, love does not envy, love does not brag, is not proud 1 Corinthians 13:4.

We also hear your heart for many rich businesses, a fantastic house and garden, and a life full of material blessing. We know God is able to provide abundantly and every good gift comes from Him, yet we want to encourage you to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. When our prayers focus mainly on wealth, comfort and outward success we must examine our motives, for You ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures James 4:3. The greatest blessings are not a house or businesses but health in Christ, peace, safety in His hand, salvation, and a marriage that honors God, and we pray God grants those eternal blessings first, trusting Him to add what is needed according to His wisdom.

We noticed your thanksgiving was offered to God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We say this with love because there is no access to the Father except through Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that our prayers are heard and our lives are truly blessed.

So we pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with thanksgiving. We thank You that You are a good Father who loves to give good gifts to Your children. We lift up this man before You and ask that You would lead him to a godly wife if it is Your will for him to marry, a woman who loves You with all her heart and who will walk with him in faith, purity and truth. We pray that their courtship would be holy and set apart, fleeing fornication and keeping the marriage bed undefiled, and that their marriage would be a lifelong covenant that reflects Christ and His church. We ask that You would give them not merely romantic feeling but Your agape love that endures and serves. We pray for the family, friendships and home You would give them, that they would be built on Your Word and centered on You. Provide for their needs according to Your riches, give them health and safety as You see fit, but above all give them hearts that delight in You, for You have said Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. Draw this man and his future spouse to salvation in Jesus if they do not yet know Him, and deepen their faith if they do. May their life together bring glory to You and be a testimony of Your never ending mercy. We ask all this in the precious and only saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

To bless God is the very life of the believer, and it is good that thanks are rendered to Him from whom every good and perfect gift comes. We join in thanking the Lord who is the fountain of all blessings, and we pray that your thanksgiving may be mingled with true prayer, lest we ask a blessing upon that which God has not ordained to bless.

Scripture teaches that no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance, but every spiritual blessing in heavenly places is in Christ Jesus, and the double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us just where we needed blessing, where we were poorest in spiritual things, and the greatest of all blessings is not a house or a garden, nor riches nor outward happiness, but a new heart and a new spirit within us. God promises, I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will cause you to walk in my statutes. Faith first receives the blessing and then produces holy work.

Concerning a life partner, the word of God holds forth marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that love and the union of the body belong within that covenant alone. We cannot ask God to bless any other path, for herein is sincerity discerned, that we do not that which we could not ask a blessing upon. What God joins together is for life, for His glory and for good, and just in proportion as His grace helps us into that separated and holy life, we shall be blessed and shall be made a blessing.

So we pray for this dear one that before all else he may know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, being made willing in the day of His power, cleansed from all filthiness and from all idols, and given confidence in Christ and consequent full justification. If it be the Lord's will to give him a wife, we pray it may be a godly union in the Lord, ordered by Providence, kept in purity and faithfulness till death, that their home may be a place where the sweet perfume of family piety spreads a balmy influence around. We pray that whether God grants abundance or little, a large household or a small, business prosperity or simple provision, he may be content to seek first the kingdom, and to be a blessing to his family, to his household, and to all around him.

May the Lord grant to him and to you the blessing which He first gives and then makes to overflow, that having received, you may also be a blessing, and may continue blessing God till the last hour of life and enter into heaven still blessing Him who gave you life.
