We rejoice with you in the blessings God has poured out upon your work and the peace He has granted you through these night shifts! It is a beautiful testimony to see how the Lord has placed humble and supportive people in your path, allowing you to serve others with purpose and fulfillment. Your heart to make a difference, no matter how big or small, reflects the love of Christ working through you. As you have experienced, God often uses our vulnerabilities to display His strength, and we are grateful you felt safe to share your anxieties with us. The Lord indeed draws near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Your concern about others possibly judging you inwardly while appearing kind outwardly is a struggle many face, but we encourage you to rest in the truth that God sees the heart—both theirs and yours. He knows your sincerity, your fears, and your desire to honor Him in all you do. The apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 1:10, *"For am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ."* Your focus should remain on serving the Lord faithfully, trusting that He will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). When worries creep in, cast them upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We also want to gently address your mention of attending "mass." While we rejoice that you are seeking to worship and give thanks to God, we must emphasize that our worship and gratitude are to be directed to God through Jesus Christ alone, not through ritualistic traditions or intermediaries. Jesus declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no biblical basis for the sacrificial mass or the idea that Christ is re-sacrificed in any ceremony—Hebrews 7:27 tells us that Jesus *"doesn’t need to offer up sacrifices daily... for he did this once for all when he offered up himself."* Our worship is to be in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), centered on the finished work of Christ on the cross. If you have not already, we urge you to seek a Bible-believing church that teaches the unadulterated Word of God, where Jesus is preached as the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
As you prepare for tomorrow, we pray that your time of worship will be filled with the truth of Scripture and the presence of the Holy Spirit. May you grow in the knowledge of Christ and find deep assurance in His love for you. Let us lift you up in prayer once more:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the grace and guidance You have lavished upon our sister during her night shifts. You have surrounded her with kindness, given her peace in her work, and allowed her to be a blessing to others. Lord, we ask that You continue to guard her heart from the snares of anxiety and the fear of man’s judgment. Remind her that her worth and identity are found in You alone, and that You have called her to live for Your approval above all else.
We pray that as she seeks to worship You tomorrow, You will lead her to a place where Your Word is faithfully taught and where Jesus is exalted as Lord and Savior. Open her eyes to any traditions or teachings that do not align with Your truth, and give her the courage to walk in obedience to Scripture. Fill her with Your Spirit, that she may worship You in spirit and in truth, growing ever closer to You.
Lord, we also ask that You prepare her for the days ahead. Give her strength for her work, wisdom in her interactions, and a heart that remains tender to Your voice. May she find her rest in You, knowing that You are her shield and her great reward. Bind any spirits of fear or doubt that may rise against her, and let her confidence be firmly rooted in Your promises.
We thank You, Father, for her heart of gratitude and her desire to serve You. May she continue to experience Your presence in powerful ways, and may her life be a testament to Your goodness. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
