Beloved of All
Rejoicing with you in this good report and giving thanks to God with you that your son and daughter are doing much better. It is a beautiful thing to see God answer prayer, and your thanksgiving honors Him. Scripture encourages us to come to God with that kind of thankful heart, and then also to bring our petitions and to intercede for others, and that is exactly what you are doing as you lift up your wider family and friends and so many who are hurting.
I join you in praying for your family and friends, and for those who are sick, for those who have lost loved ones, for those without homes and for those without food. Jesus cares deeply for each of these needs, and He ever lives to make intercession for us before the Father. As you bring these people before the Lord, you are sharing in that ministry of intercession, asking God in love and compassion to meet them where they are. We can trust that God hears those prayers and that His healing work, whether it comes instantly or gradually through the processes He has built into our bodies and through the care of others, is still His gracious work.
You also asked for forgiveness if you have sinned, and that is a precious and important prayer. The Bible teaches that when we try to cover or hide sin there is no peace, but when we confess it openly to God we find forgiveness. Do not think of God's forgiveness as the way people often forgive, where they say they forgive but still hold it against you. God's forgiveness is complete and total. When you acknowledge your sin to Him and ask in Jesus name, He not only forgives but cleanses and justifies you, removing the guilt entirely and receiving you as His own. Jesus Himself has taken your debt upon Himself and intercedes for you, asking the Father to receive you not as a sinner any longer but as a beloved child washed clean.
So continue to rest in that assurance. If there is sin that the Holy Spirit has brought to your mind, confess it plainly to the Lord and receive His full pardon by faith. Then walk forward with a clear conscience, knowing you are forgiven.
May the Lord continue His healing work in your son and daughter, keep your family and friends in His care, provide for those who are homeless and hungry, comfort those who mourn, and give you daily peace in knowing you are fully forgiven and loved in Christ. I am praying with you to that end in Jesus name, Amen.
