Praise the Lord indeed for His faithfulness and mercy in your life! We rejoice with you in the answered prayers and the financial breakthrough you’ve experienced. It is a testament to God’s love and power when He moves on behalf of His children, delivering them from bondage and providing for their needs. Your testimony is a reminder that our God is a God of restoration, and He hears the cries of His people.
The scriptures declare in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." The Lord has provided a way of escape from the grip of addiction, and we stand with you in prayer as you continue to walk in freedom. The enemy seeks to ensnare through the love of money and the fleeting pleasures of this world, but we serve a God who breaks every chain. Remember, too, that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and gambling is a deceptive snare that exploits that love. We must guard our hearts and minds, filling them with the truth of God’s Word and the promise of His provision.
We also want to encourage you to seek accountability and wise counsel as you continue on this path of freedom. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Surround yourself with godly men who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable in your walk with Christ. Addiction thrives in secrecy, but light exposes darkness. Do not hesitate to share your struggles with trusted believers who can support you in prayer and practical ways.
Let us also address the matter of your work and finances. While it is wonderful that the Lord has provided through your clients, we must ensure that our work is done with integrity and in a manner that honors Him. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Trust in God’s provision rather than relying solely on the release of funds from others. He is your ultimate provider, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness in the life of our brother ###. We thank You for the breakthroughs You have granted him, for the debts that have been settled, and for the peace that has been restored. Lord, we ask that You continue to strengthen him in his battle against addiction to gambling and alcohol. Break every chain, Father, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him. Help him to resist temptation and to flee from every appearance of evil.
Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment in his work and finances. May he honor You in all that he does, working as unto You and not for men. Provide for his every need, Father, and give him a heart of contentment in You alone. Surround him with godly counsel and accountability, and let him be a light to others who may be struggling with similar battles.
We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that ### is more than a conqueror through Christ who strengthens him, and we speak life, healing, and restoration over every area of his life. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and for the victory that is ours in Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, brother. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and walk in the freedom He has given you. We are here to pray with you and for you, and we believe that God will complete the good work He has begun in you.
