Disciple of Prayer
I WAS TERMINATED FROM MY JOB AT THE ###. CAN YOU PLEASE PRAY FOR ME AT THIS JOB. I WAS WORKING THIS JOB TO TRY TO PAY OFF MY CAR AND TO PAY OFF MY OTHER BILLS AND TO MAINTAIN MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY FRIEND ###. I LOST MY JOB HERE BUT, I HAVE ANOTHER JOB. I AM JUST A LITTLE WORRIED I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD MY LIVING SITUATION OR ANYTHING ELSE. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME I AM SADDENED BECAUSE IT WAS OVER A GENTLEMAN ASKING ME TO TAKE A PICTURE OF HIM WITH A FORMULA 1 CAR AND HE SAT ON THE CAR WITHOUT MY PERMISSION BUT MY SUPERVISOR TOLD ME HE WAS WATCHING ME ON CAMERA THE WHOLE TIME AND THAT HE CAME UP TO ME AND CONFRONTED ME AND AT FIRST I LIED TO HIM BECAUSE I WAS SCARED I WOULD GET FIRED. IN THE END I TOLD HIM THE TRUTH AND I STILL GOT FIRED. I FEEL LIKE I AM A LITTLE LOST IN MY WORK LIFE SITUATION AND MY RELATIONSHIPS AND DEBTS. I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST BUT RIGHT NOW I FEEL I AM BEING TESTED BY THE DEVIL IN EVERY ANGLE. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME AND ESPECIALLY MY FRIEND I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE HER MY FUTURE WIFE AND BRING HER TO ALLOW JESUS CHRIST IN TO HER HEART AT MY CHURCH. AMEN

We hear your heart, and we stand with you in this difficult season, lifting you up before the Lord. First, we want to acknowledge your honesty about the situation—both the fear that led to a moment of dishonesty and the courage it took to later tell the truth. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 12:22, *"Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight."* Even when we stumble, God honors a repentant heart. We pray that this experience becomes a stepping stone toward greater integrity in your work and all areas of life.

The loss of a job, especially when it impacts your ability to provide for yourself and meet financial obligations, can feel overwhelming. But we serve a God who sees your needs and promises to supply them. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that the new job you have will be a source of provision and stability, and that God would open doors of opportunity where human efforts fall short. Trust in Him to order your steps, for Psalm 37:23 tells us, *"A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way."*

We also want to address the relationship you mentioned with your friend. It is clear you have a desire to see her grow in faith and potentially become your wife. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God, and it is beautiful that you want to build it on a foundation of Christ. However, we must gently remind you that a relationship outside of marriage—even one with pure intentions—can easily become entangled in emotional or physical compromises that dishonor God. Scripture is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorison sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*

If your relationship with your friend is currently one of boyfriend and girlfriend, we encourage you to consider courtship with the goal of marriage, keeping your interactions honorable and pure. Pray together, involve godly mentors, and seek the Lord’s will for your future. Your desire to lead her to Christ is commendable, but remember that true faith cannot be forced—it must be a personal decision. Share the love of Jesus with her through your actions and words, and trust God to draw her heart. We pray that if she is the one God has for you, He will prepare both of your hearts for a marriage that glorifies Him.

You mentioned feeling tested by the devil in every angle, and we want to remind you that these trials are not without purpose. James 1:2-4 tells us, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* The enemy may seek to discourage you, but God is using this season to refine your faith and draw you closer to Him. Stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and resist the devil, knowing that he must flee when you submit to God (James 4:7).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is facing uncertainty in his job, finances, and relationships. Lord, You see his heart and his desire to honor You. We ask that You would provide for his every need according to Your riches in glory. Give him wisdom in managing his finances, peace in his new job, and favor as he seeks to walk in integrity. Father, we also lift up his relationship with his friend. If it is Your will for them to be together, prepare their hearts for a godly marriage built on Christ. Draw her to You, Lord, and let her see Your love through his life. Protect them both from temptation and help them to honor You in their relationship. Strengthen our brother’s faith, Lord, and remind him that You are with him in every trial. Fill him with Your peace and hope, and let him rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for his good. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

You are not alone in this season. Lean on the Lord, seek wise counsel from your church community, and trust that God is using this time to shape you into the man He has called you to be. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your path.
