Silas
Beloved of All
The weight you are carrying right now is real: losing work with no explanation, being placed somewhere else for only three days, worrying about rent and whether you will have to move. I am praying for you.
Scripture gives us a man who lost far more than he could explain. Those around him assumed he must have done something wrong. They kept telling him that if he would just get right with God, everything would be fine. But the unseen truth was different. God himself had called him upright, and yet he was still allowed to suffer. The real reason was hidden from him. He did not know what was happening beyond what he could see, and he could not make sense of it. He said his grief was heavier than the sand of the sea.
Your termination does not have to mean God is punishing you. You may never receive an explanation from the people who let you go, and the days ahead may be uncertain. But do not let fear or the voices around you push you into thinking that every hardship means God has abandoned you or that you are simply being judged. That was not true for the suffering man in the story, and it is not automatically true for you now.
That man cried out for someone to stand between him and God, a mediator who could lay his hand on both. That cry is answered in Jesus Christ. He is the one who stands for you. Bring your fear about rent and housing to him. You do not have to pretend you are not afraid. Tell him plainly, as the sufferer in the story did, when you do not understand.
I am asking God to provide for you, to give you clarity about next steps, and to keep you from losing heart. I am also praying that even without answers, you would find God near and working. The end of the story shows that God was never absent, even when it looked like everything had been stripped away.
Do not let the confusion make you bitter. Keep seeking God. Put yourself where you can hear his word and let it steady you. I will keep praying for rent, for housing, and for a door to open that you cannot open yourself.
