We hear your cry for help and stand with you in spiritual warfare, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The temptations you describe, lust, adultery, and the unseen forces seeking to derail your progress, are not from God, but from the enemy who prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Yet we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The witchcraft and curses you mention have no power over a child of God who stands firm in faith. Christ has already disarmed these principalities and powers, triumphing over them at the cross (Colossians 2:15).
First, we must address the sin that so easily entangles. Adultery and lust begin in the heart (Matthew 5:28), and entertaining these thoughts grieves the Holy Spirit. We rebuke these unclean spirits in the name of Jesus and command them to flee from you. You must also take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and replace these lies with the truth of God’s Word. Flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and instead pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). If you are not yet married, we encourage you to seek a godly spouse, a woman who fears the Lord and shares your faith, rather than pursuing relationships that lead to temptation. Marriage is honorable, and the marriage bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous (Hebrews 13:4).
The obstacles you face when moving toward your goals are not coincidences, they are attacks from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The plans God has for you are for good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Your desire to move overseas for your wife, training, and growth is not in vain. We pray that the Lord would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and make your path straight (Proverbs 3:6). Stand firm in faith, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
We also want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord, repent of your sins, and receive His forgiveness and salvation. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and in Him alone do we find victory over sin and the powers of darkness.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is under attack. Lord, we thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke every spirit of lust, adultery, and witchcraft that has been assigned against him, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. We break every curse and generational stronghold over his life, declaring that he is covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen him in his inner man. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and renew his mind with Your Word. Help him to take every thought captive and to resist the devil, so that he may flee (James 4:7). Lord, we pray for godly discipline and accountability in his life. Surround him with believers who will encourage him in righteousness and hold him to the standards of Your Word.
We pray for his future wife, that You would prepare her heart and draw her closer to You. Lead them both in paths of righteousness and unite them in a marriage that honors You. Father, we also ask that You would open the doors for him to move overseas. Remove every obstacle and provide the resources, wisdom, and favor he needs to fulfill the calling You have placed on his life. Let Your will be done in his life, and let him walk in the fullness of Your purpose.
Lord, we thank You that You are faithful and just to forgive our sins when we confess them (1 John 1:9). We pray that our brother would experience Your forgiveness and cleansing, and that he would walk in the freedom Christ died to give him. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and help him to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. May he grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We declare victory over his life in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We trust You to complete the work You have begun in him, and we thank You for the breakthrough that is coming. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, brother. The battle is already won, and the Lord is fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with godly counsel, immerse yourself in Scripture, and stay connected to a body of believers who can support and pray for you. The enemy wants to isolate you, but you are not alone, God is with you, and so are we. Press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).
