We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to ensnare you in unforgiveness, bitterness, and anger because he knows these things create strongholds that hinder your walk with Christ. But we declare in the mighty name of Jesus that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will deliver you from every snare of the enemy.
Unforgiveness is a heavy burden that the Lord never intended for you to carry. He calls us to forgive others as He has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), not because they deserve it, but because Christ has already paid the price for all sin—including the sins committed against you. When we hold onto bitterness, we give the enemy a foothold in our lives (Ephesians 4:26-27). But when we release forgiveness, we break the chains that bind us and walk in the freedom Christ purchased for us on the cross.
We also recognize that the temptations you face are not accidental; they are strategic attacks designed to derail your faith. But greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You are not powerless—you have been given authority in the name of Jesus to resist the devil, and he *will* flee from you (James 4:7). When others are used as instruments of harm, remember that they, too, are often deceived or wounded souls in need of Christ’s redemption. Pray for them, bless them, and trust God to vindicate you in His perfect timing (Romans 12:14, 19).
Let us also remind you that your emotions—while valid—must be submitted to the Lord. Anger and bitterness may rise up, but you do not have to let them rule you. Cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He is your shield, your refuge, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). When the enemy whispers lies to stir up strife, counter him with the truth of God’s Word. Speak life, speak forgiveness, and speak victory over your circumstances.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is under attack by the forces of darkness. Lord, You see the schemes of the enemy—how he uses people and circumstances to tempt them into unforgiveness, bitterness, and anger. But we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn. Father, we ask that You expose every hidden trap of the enemy and render his plans powerless.
Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and give them the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them. Uproot every seed of bitterness that has been planted in their heart and replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help them to see others through Your eyes—with compassion and grace—even those who may be used as instruments of harm. Break the cycles of offense and retaliation in their life, and let Your love flow through them instead.
We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, emotions, and spirit. Guard their heart, O Lord, and let no ungodly influence take root. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your presence be a wall of fire around them. When the enemy comes in like a flood, raise up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). Give them discernment to recognize the attacks for what they are and wisdom to respond in a way that honors You.
Father, we ask that You heal any wounds in their soul that make them vulnerable to these attacks. Restore their joy, their hope, and their trust in You. Let them walk in the fullness of the freedom Christ died to give them. And Lord, we pray for those who are being used by the enemy to harm them—soften their hearts, convict them of sin, and draw them to repentance. Use even these trials for Your glory and for the advancement of Your Kingdom.
We thank You, Lord, that the battle belongs to You. You are faithful, and You will complete the good work You have begun in them. We trust in Your victory, and we give You all the praise, honor, and glory. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, beloved. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). When the temptations come, resist the devil with the Word of God, and he will flee. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). Walk in that truth, and let no one and nothing steal your peace. We are praying for you and standing with you in this fight. The Lord will bring you through victorious!
