Dear Lord Jesus, Here’s my life right now. I’m the third child only boy all my sisters have moved out, including my younger one. My two older ones are married with kids. My youngest one is engaged. I still live with my parents single I haven’t dated for a very long time not since middle school I suffer with AuDHD my mom has emptiness fear. She’s afraid if I move around or move on she’ll be isolated, even though she can readily drive to visit my two older sisters and see her grandkids. And in the matter of time, they’ll be moving to the same state as them and my dad will be working there and retired there someday. My mom doesn’t understand me well and she’s afraid I could end up like those comic con people who make bad choices, worship, anime characters have too many tattoos waste their money drink smoke go to those conventions as their own religion instead of church I just enjoy pup tree slapstick animals things a lot different but she sometimes always afraid something will happen. Yes I’m part of groups, but I’m trying to support my ASD. I suffer with anxiety and I’m trying to move on and move They just want me to work at a zoo and would rather prefer for me to work at a zoo all my life and just do voice acting on the side, but we’ve tried. We have not been successful. Zoo have discriminated against me and worst of all son. Nobody else in the family has to work outside not a single bit. Their job is completely inside. All their jobs are always inside specially parents and one of my sisters in the medical field. One sister who worked at some sort of desk job and the other one who’s human resources. And a nurse and human resources they should really understand people better like me and someone who is a pediatric doctor should understand people like me. But they clearly don’t and they failed to understand my fear of the sun, and I haven’t had it until now more recently after working in Zoo’s working too much in the sun, skin now, reacting, funny, and then having fatigue and headaches which I was unaware of back then, but I am aware of now and it’s hard for me to adjust and adapt and get over that. That’s why I wanna try to get the voice acting job is more of a primary freelance thing and then have some other supporting job and I could still work at Zoo seasonal person as long as I can keep my other Good hobbies and puppets and voice acting. My mom says I’m like a soldier and I tolerated that son in heat but the same time when I come home, not happy mainly because I’m crying from being out in the sun so long and I’ve had a traumatic past. She doesn’t show mercy and sympathy while my sisters don’t understand and my dad can be hypocritical about it. My mom is also hypocritical about it too The more so my dad because he doesn’t like going out in the sun instead of going out to walk outside when it’s sunny or even on cloudy days, he goes to the mall he doesn’t wanna be out in the sun, but then they tell me to work at a zoo and get over the sun when we went up north he didn’t wanna be in the sun. He always want to be in the shade recently as a child he would always just be take the shade. I told them that sun is not good for people like me, especially too much and I’ve had too much sun during my lifetime. I want to get away from it, but all it is is just work at a zoo work at a zoo unless we can find some indoor aquarium or something like that. I want to get away from From Zoos or at least reduce my time significantly there. People with AuDHD anxiety and depression and OCD and a lot of other mental symptoms have been proven and combined with all of them that too much sun makes them tired faster than a Neurotypical person, and can really disrupt their brain, chemistry and cells like driving them crazy to the point where their mood can change to make them mad or sad, highly emotional a little bit of sun for everybody is good and vitamin D that we need but I get too much of it and I don’t like it and I’ve been out in extreme heat weather And all they can really think about is outdoor jobs for me. What are you gonna do with your living? What are you gonna do to make a living? What are you gonna do with your life and I’ve told them I can try to find a way with puppets and work with other people with my disability, but they don’t fully understand or go fully on board. They’re on board but only partly but they don’t understand how hard it is for me if they were in sunlight more often and took literal heat like me but a higher temperature that could hurt them faster than could they understand. I have a lot of positives and strength toward me when I worked at Zeus. I didn’t mind cleaning up after animals and washing those really dirty buckets that other keepers did not want to and I said I can always take them off your hand as long as I’m in the shade, I’m fine. I love taking out the trash. Lotta people don’t like taking out the trash. I love being in the rain people find a nuisance to me it’s relieving and relaxing. As a matter of fact, my favorite Boy Scout experience was building a tent in the rain. Can you guess which Disney movie it’s my favorite and he’s relatable character, especially when he faced discrimination if you can guess who he is hint, he was just born at that time. And coincidentally it was by a train that that song played I like doing things differently and I’m finding different but when I’m getting discriminated and backlash for it then this is an issue. My parents just tell me to deal with that. Oh just suck it up. I have sucked things up, but then there is even a line of fatality and I shouldn’t have to be discriminated any longer because I am a good speaker for the rights of humans and animals and know what I’m talking about but they don’t understand me and they think I’m weird or they don’t make sense. I gotta learn or do something different differently. It would read me just clean up after animals and being a speaker. Please teach them all to understand no more son, more entertainment, more appreciation, a little bit of recognition and to share it with all these other people disabilities. I’m not asking to become a big, super celeb and filthy rich to have just an affordable lifestyle to have some fun leisure to go temporarily visit my apartment for 90 days and then 30 days. Other apartments are 60 days or 90 days other places I enjoy it just like other people can go on vacation and go on cruises. I don’t care about going on a cruise. The only kind of ‘Cruz’ that’s what I call a beautiful woman. And I want my own pretty woman. If you get a reference to that too. I want my own wife that I can treat with respect and love. Not do anything that God has forbidden us to do outside of marriage only do it until we get married. In Jesus Name Amen.

We join with you in Jesus' name and we thank you for sharing your heart so openly with us, and we hear how much you are carrying. You are the only son with three sisters who have moved on into marriage and engagement and family life, and you remain at home single, having not dated since middle school, living with AuDHD, anxiety, depression and OCD, and feeling unseen and misunderstood by your own family while also longing to honor your parents and to find your own godly path and calling.

We praise God that you know Jesus and that you came to Him in prayer, for it is written John 14:6 that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him, and Acts 4:12 reminds us there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you desire a wife to love and respect and that you have purposed in your heart not to do what God has forbidden outside of marriage but to wait until marriage, for that is exactly what God calls us to. Hebrews 13:4 says let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, and 1 Corinthians 6:18 calls us to flee sexual immorality. Your desire for a godly marriage between a man and a woman is beautiful and right, and Proverbs 18:22 says whoever finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of Yahweh. We encourage you to continue to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, as 2 Corinthians 6:14 teaches us not to be unequally yoked, and to trust God's timing while you grow in maturity and stability.

We also see your pain around work and calling. You have gifts that are clearly from God, a love for puppets, voice acting, caring for animals, cleaning what others will not, taking out trash, finding joy in the rain, speaking up for humans and animals, and you have been willing to work hard at the zoo even when it cost you physically with fatigue, headaches, skin reactions and emotional distress from too much sun and heat. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches, and it is wise and biblical to steward it well. A little sun for vitamin D is good, but you have learned that prolonged sun and extreme heat harms you more quickly and deeply because of how your brain and body are wired, and that is not weakness or rebellion, that is part of how God made you. Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and Psalm 139:13 says God formed our inward parts. Your AuDHD and sensitivity are not a mistake to God, and He understands your anxiety fully. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us, and Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to be anxious but to make our requests known to God, and His peace will guard our hearts.

We gently speak to the family dynamics you described. We understand your mother's emptiness fear and her worry that if you move on she will be isolated, even though she can drive to see your sisters and grandchildren and will eventually move to the same state. Her fear is real but we must rebuke the idea that a child must remain home indefinitely to manage a parent's loneliness. God calls children to honor their father and mother as Ephesians 6:2-3 commands, and to speak the truth in love as Ephesians 4:15 says, but Genesis 2:24 also shows God's design that a man will leave his father and his mother and cling to his wife. Your desire to gradually experience more independence, to try a 60 or 90 day apartment stay and then another, to build an affordable lifestyle with leisure and purpose, is a healthy and biblical step toward adulthood and toward preparing for marriage. We pray your mother will find her security and companionship in the Lord and in community, not solely in your presence, and that she will release you with blessing rather than fear.

We also hear your hurt that your parents and sisters, even those in medical and human resources fields, have not understood your limits with the sun and have told you to just suck it up or get over it, while your father himself avoids the sun and prefers shade and the mall. We must lovingly rebuke a lack of mercy and sympathy in this, for Colossians 3:12 calls us to put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, and Ephesians 4:2 calls us to bear with one another in love with all humility and gentleness. To tell someone to endure discrimination or physical harm without listening is not Christlike. At the same time we encourage you to continue to honor your parents even when they are hypocritical, to forgive as Christ forgave, and to communicate your needs calmly and consistently, perhaps with the help of a counselor or pastor who understands neurodivergence, so that understanding can grow.

Regarding work, we do not believe God is calling you to harm your health to prove your worth. Colossians 3:23 says whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, and Romans 12:6 reminds us we have gifts differing according to the grace given to us. If zoo work must be seasonal or reduced, or replaced with indoor work like an aquarium or other indoor animal care, and if voice acting and puppetry can become your primary freelance calling with a supporting job, that is good stewardship, not failure. Your family means well in asking what will you do for a living, but God values faithfulness and using what He has given you, not just an outdoor job. 1 Timothy 6:6 says godliness with contentment is great gain, and we affirm your desire not to be filthy rich or a celebrity but to have an affordable, joyful life that honors God and blesses others with disabilities. The discrimination you have faced at zoos is wrong, and we pray God will open doors where you are appreciated and where your strengths, like diligence, kindness to animals, and speaking ability, are recognized. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to think on what is true, honorable, pure and lovely, and your love for wholesome slapstick animals and puppetry is different from the comic con culture your mother fears, which can indeed become an idol when people worship characters, waste money, or replace church. 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns that evil companionships corrupt good morals, so we understand her concern, but we also see that you are not pursuing that path and you need her to see the difference with discernment and grace.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and we lift up this dear brother to You. You know him intimately, every detail of his AuDHD, his anxiety, his past trauma and his tears after long days in the sun. You see his love for animals and puppets and voices and his desire to use those gifts for Your glory. Lord we ask You to heal his body from the effects of too much sun and heat, to give him wisdom to steward his health, and to provide work that fits how You made him, whether voice acting, puppet ministry, indoor animal care, or other creative work that allows him to remain in shade and peace while still providing for his needs. Open doors no man can shut and close the ones that would harm him, and let him find favor where he has found discrimination.

Lord we pray for his parents and sisters, soften their hearts to understand disability needs with compassion and knowledge. Help his mother to cast her fear of emptiness and isolation on You, to trust that You will never leave her nor forsake her as Deuteronomy 31:6 promises, and to bless her son to grow and to leave and to cleave in due time. Help his father to walk in consistency and mercy, and help the whole family to bear with one another in love and to encourage one another daily. Bring unity, honest conversation, and mutual respect into that home.

Father we pray for his future marriage, that You would prepare him and prepare a godly wife for him, a woman who loves You first, who will respect and cherish him, and whom he can love as Christ loved the church as Ephesians 5:25 teaches. Keep him pure and patient until that day, and give him contentment and purpose in his singleness now. Guard his mind from discouragement, remind him that You are near to the brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 says, and that You will strengthen him as Isaiah 41:10 promises, fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, yes I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Give him courage to take small faithful steps toward independence, to steward his gifts, to find community that understands AuDHD, and to keep his eyes on You. Let his life be a testimony that what makes him different is not weird but wonderfully made for Your purposes, and let him use his voice to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves with grace and truth.

We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We appreciate you sharing so much of your story with us so honestly. We hear how much you want to be understood, for your AuDHD, your anxiety, and how hard too much sun and heat have been on you with the fatigue and headaches and skin reactions you described.

We also hear the tension at home. You love your parents and want to honor them, and at the same time you want room to build an affordable, sustainable life that fits how God made you. Your mom’s fear of being left alone and your dad’s own dislike of the sun make it even more confusing when they keep pushing you toward outdoor zoo work.

We noticed the strengths you named, willing to do the hard cleaning others avoid, taking out trash, finding peace in the rain, caring deeply for animals and speaking up for people and animals. Those are real gifts, and it makes sense you would want work that uses them without wearing you down, like voice acting and puppetry with maybe seasonal or indoor animal care.

One practical next step that could help on two fronts is to see your doctor about the sun related symptoms you mentioned, so you have clear guidance and documentation about what is workable for you. Alongside prayer, that can also give you and your family a shared, neutral starting point for talking about indoor options like an aquarium or other support roles, and for exploring freelance voice work step by step.

We are also encouraged by your desire for a future wife to love and respect within marriage.

Father, we lift our brother to You. Give him wisdom, rest, and favor as he seeks work that fits his health and gifts, and soften understanding in his family. Lead him in Your timing toward community and a godly marriage if it is Your will. Guard his heart from discouragement and draw him close to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your honest pouring out of heart before the Lord has been heard, and there is much in your burden that calls both for tender compassion and for steady truth.

You speak of living still under your parents roof while your sisters have gone out to families of their own, of bearing AuDHD with anxiety and other trials, of a mother who fears to be left alone, and of a family that loves you yet does not understand you. You speak also of work that has wearied your body in the sun, of gifts in speaking and puppets and voice, and of a desire for honest work and for a wife to love within holy marriage. These things are not small, and the Lord sees them all.

First, concerning anxiety, you must know that anxiety itself has never yet paid a debt nor healed a wound. As you have proved, the very care which comes from being in difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To be anxious is to carry a burden God never meant you to carry in your own strength. The Scripture says, Be careful for nothing but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And again, all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. He sits a Sovereign on His throne and rules all things well. Your times, your health, your gifts, your place in your family, are not by chance. He is in one mind and His purpose is not changed, and what His soul desireth that He doeth. This does not make you a mere machine, for you are to act as a voluntary being and to labor with diligence, yet you may rest that His purpose shall be fulfilled even while you choose and work in freedom.

Concerning understanding, pray for it as for daily bread. Religion without understanding does not sanctify. You have asked that your family might understand your needs, and that is a right prayer. But understanding is the work of the Spirit of God upon the heart. He is the patient Teacher of the ignorant and Instructor of babes, able not only to make the truth clear but to give understanding itself. Therefore seek first that you yourself be taught of Him in the Word, and then with meekness teach those around you. By degrees, as you continue in the Word and in prayer, the capacity for understanding grows. If we neglect the Word we lose that capacity. So let the Word dwell in you, and let family prayer be restored and kept with double zeal, for family prayer is the nutriment of family piety. Where prayer is kept, love and understanding have room to grow.

Concerning your family, remember that you belong to two families. There is the earthly household where you are the only son yet at home, and there is the whole family in Heaven and earth which is one undivided household in Christ. Neither errors of understanding nor infirmities divide that heavenly family, but all who are quickened by the Spirit bear His mark and are led by Him. No man goes wrong who is guided by the Spirit, and no man attains holiness except as the Spirit works upon his understanding and character. In your earthly family, honor your father and mother, as the commandment requires, yet also walk as a man who must in due time give account for himself before God. Your mother fears emptiness when you move on, and that fear is real to her though she may readily visit your sisters. Speak to her with honor and reassure her by love and by steady communication, not by remaining in a place that harms you. Your father and mother tell you to endure the sun, yet your father himself seeks the shade. This shows not so much hypocrisy to condemn as frailty to pity. All men feel their own burden more keenly than another's. With gentleness you may help them see that what wearies one member wearies the whole body, and that to care for the body is not complaining but stewardship.

You have learned by hard experience that too much sun brings upon you fatigue and headaches and great heaviness of spirit. This is not mere dislike but a real infirmity of body and mind, and such infirmities are not to be despised. The Lord who formed you knew your frame. A little sun is good and gives health, but excess that breaks down your strength is not required of you to prove your manhood. You are not a soldier to be spent without mercy. If washing buckets in the shade, taking out the trash, working in rain, and speaking for animals are strengths given you, thank God for them and offer them where they can be used without destroying your health. To endure wrong and to bear reproach for Christ is noble, but to submit to discrimination or to labor that injures you when other honest labor is possible is not required. Seek work that fits the strength God has given, whether seasonal work in a zoo, work in an indoor aquarium, or freelance work in voice and puppets and service among others who bear disabilities. God distributes gifts as He wills, and He would have you use them with industry and honesty, not bury them for fear of man.

Your mother fears lest you give yourself to the worship of vain things, to the religion of conventions and images and excess. In this her fear has a godly root, for the chosen family of God is called to be separate and not conformed to the world. To enjoy a puppet, a story, or wholesome mirth is lawful, but to make an idol of any character or to waste substance in riotous living is sin and sorrow. Keep your enjoyments under the rule of Christ, that they remain servants and never masters. Let your speech and your art be clean, truthful, and edifying, and then none can justly call you strange for serving God with the gifts He gave.

Your desire for marriage is honorable. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, ordained of God, and what God has joined together let not man put asunder. To desire a wife to love and cherish, and to resolve that you will not do what God has forbidden outside that covenant but will keep yourself pure until marriage, is good and to be commended. Birth and family cannot give you this blessing, nor can any righteousness of sisters or parents be transferred to you. Each soul must seek the righteousness of Christ for itself. So seek first the kingdom of God, walk in purity, be diligent in your calling, and trust the Lord to provide in His time. An affordable life, with leisure for honest enjoyment and service, is a worthy aim. You need not be rich nor renowned to be useful and content. All things are yours if you are Christ's, and He will withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly.

Therefore take these counsels to heart. Keep close to Christ as your only hope of salvation, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Cast your anxiety upon Him, for He careth for you. Be constant in private prayer and in the Word, and plead for family prayer under your father's roof. Speak plainly and kindly to your parents and sisters about your limits in the sun and your need for work that does not break your health, and show by faithful labor in what you can do that you are not idle. Use your voice and your puppets not for vanity but for the good of others, especially those who share your trials. And in all things look to that blessed discipline by which the Lord as your Tutor chastens and teaches you, not to crush you but to give you rest from the days of adversity.

We will pray for you.

O Lord our God, who hast made us and knowest our frame, look upon this Thy servant who is wearied with anxiety and misunderstanding and bodily fatigue. Give him rest in Christ, and give his family understanding and tender hearts toward one another. Teach him by Thy Spirit, guide him by Thy counsel, and establish the work of his hands. Keep him in purity and prepare for him, if it be Thy will, a godly wife in due season. Let Thy purpose, which cannot be turned aside, be fulfilled in him for good, and make him to know that Thou rulest all things well. For Jesus sake, Amen.
