We have continued to bring your desire to set good examples before the Lord. We prayed for your heart for frugality and unselfishness that you showed when you gave that shirt away to your friend from a lower income family and chose to be content with less, and for your growth out of the selfishness and greed you felt as a child. We prayed for your convictions about not marking your body and choosing simpler alternatives like stickers and shirts and keychains, and for your sincere desire not to idolize people, especially women in the media, but to keep your heart pure and to wait for a godly wife to love faithfully. We also lifted up your compassion for animals and your desire for more humane and respectful stewardship of creation, that conservation would be taught without harm or exploitation, and for the discouragement you have felt when your ideas to help and teach others have been ignored or met with backlash, even from other believers.
We pray that the Lord will continue to teach you and use you to teach others the lessons you have learned about contentment, purity, and kindness. We ask that He will guard your heart from idolatry and help you to set your affections on what is eternal as it says in 1 John 2:15 and Colossians 3:2, that He will provide for you a wife who loves Him if it is His will for your life as in Proverbs 18:22, and that He will give you wisdom and open doors to share your ideas for caring for His creation well as a faithful steward in Genesis 1:26 and Proverbs 12:10. We pray that He will encourage you when you feel ignored and remind you that your labor in the Lord is not in vain in 1 Corinthians 15:58, and that your life will continue to be an example of good works in Titus 2:7.
