We understand that you are seeking forgiveness for something that happened fourteen years ago, and we are glad that you have brought this before our Heavenly Father. It is important to remember that when we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
However, we must address that prayer should be directed to God through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us pray together for you:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that you forgive our brother/sister for the sins they have committed, known and unknown. Lord, we thank you for your promise that when we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We ask that you grant our brother/sister the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that they are forgiven and cleansed. Help them to walk in your ways and to live a life that is pleasing to you. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen."
We encourage you to continue seeking God's forgiveness and to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Remember that God loves you and wants the best for you. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
