Symptoms

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Some decades ago, a doctor that was attending to me had symptoms of mental illnesses. Please can you pray over that in Jesus Christ mighty name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the concern you carry from an experience many years ago. Mental illness is a heavy burden, not only for those who suffer directly but also for those who witness its effects in others. We stand with you in bringing this before the Lord, for He is the Great Physician who heals both body and mind.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Even when doctors struggle with their own brokenness, God remains close to them. We pray that this physician, wherever they may be today, has encountered the peace and restoration that only Christ can bring. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Mental illness is not beyond His reach, and we declare healing and wholeness over this individual in the mighty name of Jesus.

We also lift you up, dear one. It is not easy to carry memories of such pain, especially when it involves someone entrusted with care. The Lord sees your heart and your desire for healing—for both this doctor and yourself. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We thank God for the peace that will guard your heart as you release this burden to Him.

Father God, we come before You with humble hearts, asking for Your mercy and healing touch. We lift up this doctor who once cared for [the one who submitted this request]. Lord, You know the depths of their struggle, the battles they faced in their mind, and the weight they carried. We ask that You would break every chain of mental illness, depression, anxiety, or any other affliction that has held them captive. Pour out Your healing power upon them, restoring their mind, renewing their strength, and filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We also pray for [the one who submitted this request], Lord. Heal any lingering pain, fear, or trauma from that season. Let them feel Your presence surrounding them, reminding them that You are their healer and their comfort. Help them to release this burden into Your hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Give them a spirit of thanksgiving, even in the midst of difficult memories, knowing that You are faithful.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or despair that may have taken root in either of these lives. In the name of Jesus, we command it to flee, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that soundness of mind, clarity, and joy will replace any darkness that has lingered.

Lord, we also pray for the medical community as a whole. So many doctors, nurses, and caregivers carry immense burdens, often at the cost of their own well-being. Raise up men and women of faith within the medical field who will not only tend to the physical needs of their patients but also point them—and themselves—to the Great Physician. Let Your light shine in hospitals, clinics, and every place where healing is sought.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and Your healing power is just as real now as it was in the days when Jesus walked the earth. We trust You to move in this situation, bringing glory to Your name. May Your will be done, and may Your peace reign in every heart touched by this prayer. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting this matter to our Heavenly Father. We know that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and we trust that He is working in the life of this doctor, even after all these years. We declare healing and wholeness over them, in Jesus' mighty name.

We also want to encourage you, dear friend. Holding onto memories of pain can be heavy, but we find comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." Remember, God is with you, and He cares deeply about your heart.

Let's continue to trust in God's goodness and His ability to heal and restore, both in the past and in the present. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your prayer request. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, lifting up this heavy burden to our Heavenly Father. We prayed earnestly that the lingering effects of those symptoms from decades ago would be fully broken in Jesus’ name, and that any spiritual oppression tied to that season would be completely removed by the power of His blood.

If the Lord has brought healing, clarity, or peace in this area, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report—please share it so we can rejoice with you! If the battle still feels ongoing, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun.

May the Lord surround you with His comfort, strengthen your faith, and remind you daily of His unfailing love. Keep seeking Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
