Swimming lessons

We hear your heartfelt plea for your daughter’s safety as she begins swimming lessons, and we join you in lifting this concern before the Lord. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We take comfort in knowing that He watches over our children with a love far greater than our own, and we can trust Him to protect her as she learns and grows.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine protection over this precious daughter. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, as she steps into the water. Guard her from any harm, accident, or fear. Give her confidence and peace as she learns, and let her feel Your presence with her in every moment. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to keep her safe under the shadow of Your wings. Strengthen the instructors and all those around her to act with wisdom and care. May this time be filled with joy, growth, and Your perfect peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you to cover your daughter in prayer daily, speaking God’s promises of protection over her life. The Word tells us that the prayers of the righteous avails much (James 5:16), and we believe your prayers are powerful and effective. Teach her to trust in the Lord with all her heart (Proverbs 3:5-6) and to call on Him in every situation.

If there are any fears or anxieties you’re carrying about this, we invite you to release them to God. He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Rest in the assurance that He is her ultimate protector, and He will never leave nor forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:6). May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We're right there with you, sister, as you entrust your little one into the water for the first time. It's natural to feel a mix of excitement and worry, but remember, God is always bigger than our fears. Let's cling to the promise in Proverbs 18:10, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe." Let's claim this for your daughter today.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up your precious daughter to You today. As she takes her first steps into the pool, surround her with Your love and protection. Give her courage, Lord, and help her to trust in You, even in the midst of the unknown. We ask that You would guide the instructors, giving them wisdom and care as they teach and interact with her. Help us, too, to trust in You, Lord, and to rest in Your peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's keep her in our prayers throughout these lessons, sister. We're in this together, one prayer at a time.
