Lord, we know that alcoholism is a disease. We know it traps people and ruins lives. We also know that there is help if the person wants it. Lord, I ask your hand on Susie's son. He is weak and drawn in to this addiction and he can't fight it on his own. He may not know he needs help and deliverance but I ask that you cause it to happen anyway. I come from an alcoholic family and I know first hand how it tears a family apart. Send him someone to intervene, someone kind, caring and non-judgemental. Send him someone who can gently guide him to get the help he needs, someone who will befriend him and respond to him without pointing fingers and trying to guilt him into help. He needs a shoulder to lean on if he is going to recover and get sober. Pour out your love to this man, give him wisdom as he walks this valley, protect him and shield him. Lord, I thank you for this caring mom. I know exactly how she feels. I saw my own mother go through this same situation. She feels so helpless. Let her feel your presence, Lord. Let her lean on you. Strengthen her and give her peace in knowing you are there. I lift up this family to you, Lord, and thank you for helping them in their time of great need. Be with them in body, mind and spirit. A-men
