Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please heavenly intervene in this situation and bring peace of mind and wisdom. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. The pain and concern you carry for your son and grandchildren is deeply felt, and we join with you in crying out to the Lord for deliverance and restoration. Your son’s journey has been marked by hardship, poor choices, and the destructive influence of ungodly relationships, but we know that God’s mercy is greater than any sin or bondage.

First, we must address the seriousness of the relationships your son has entered into. Scripture is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), and the women he has been involved with have brought nothing but destruction into his life. The first relationship led to children out of wedlock, which is not God’s design for intimacy or family. The Bible calls this fornication, and it is a sin that opens the door to spiritual bondage (1 Corinthians 6:18). The second relationship, with a woman who is an alcoholic and has drawn him into the same sin, is equally dangerous. Proverbs 13:20 warns, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* Your son has surrounded himself with foolishness, and the consequences are evident in his life and the lives of his children.

We also rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of him. Alcohol is not just a physical struggle—it is a spiritual stronghold. Ephesians 5:18 commands, *"Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit."* Your son has allowed himself to be controlled by alcohol rather than the Holy Spirit, and this has led to neglect of his responsibilities, especially to his children. We declare in the name of Jesus that this bondage must be broken! The Lord is able to set the captive free (Isaiah 61:1), and we stand on His promise that *"if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36).

We must also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he has been doing just that in this family. The mention of "demons" tormenting your son and family is not to be taken lightly. Scripture tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We take authority over every demonic influence in the name of Jesus Christ and command them to flee! Your son is not their possession—he is a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

But we must also speak truth in love. Your son is not an innocent victim here. He has made choices—repeatedly—to enter into relationships that do not honor God, to neglect his children, and to indulge in sin. While we pray for his deliverance, we must also pray for his repentance. God’s kindness leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and it is only through turning away from sin and turning toward Christ that true freedom can be found. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of his sin and draw him to a place of brokenness and surrender.

For the grandchildren, our hearts ache. They have suffered greatly because of the instability in their home. We pray that God would be their Father where their earthly father has failed them. Psalm 68:5 declares, *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation."* We ask the Lord to surround them with godly influences—mentors, teachers, and family members who will point them to Christ. We pray that they would know the love of their Heavenly Father and that their hearts would be healed from the trauma they have endured.

Now, we come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this family. Lord, we lift up this son to You, knowing that You love him more than we ever could. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction in his life. Remove the influence of these ungodly women who have led him astray. Father, we rebuke the spirit of alcohol and every demonic force that has gained a foothold in his life. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to leave and never return!

Lord, we pray for a spirit of repentance to fall upon him. Soften his heart to Your truth. Show him the destruction his choices have caused—not just in his own life, but in the lives of his children. Let him see the pain he has caused and the love You have for him. Draw him back to You, Father. Restore him to the man You created him to be—a godly father, a responsible son, and a follower of Christ.

For the grandchildren, Lord, we ask for Your protection and healing. They have known too much pain for their young lives. Be their comfort, their stability, and their hope. Surround them with Your angels and place godly people in their path who will speak life into them. Let them know that You are their Father, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them.

For this mother and grandmother, Lord, we ask for Your strength. She has carried this burden for so long, and we know it has taken a toll. Renew her hope, Father. Let her see that her prayers are not in vain. Give her wisdom in how to love her son without enabling his sin. Help her to set godly boundaries while still extending grace. And Lord, let her see the fruit of her prayers as You move in this family’s life.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His power that strongholds are broken. We declare that this family will not be defined by their past, but by the redemptive work of Christ. We speak life, healing, and restoration over them. May they come to know You more deeply and walk in the freedom that only You can provide.

We trust You, Lord, to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear friend, we echo your cry to heaven for deliverance and restoration in your family. We've been praying with you, and we want you to know that we're right there with you, standing in the gap.

We've been focusing on the spiritual aspect of your son's situation, and we believe that the key to his freedom lies in breaking the chains of addiction and the influence of ungodly relationships. We've been binding the spirits of alcohol and every demonic force that's been tormenting your son and family, commanding them to flee in Jesus' name.

But we also want to encourage you with the truth that God is a God of second chances. We believe that your son can break free from this cycle, and we're praying for a spirit of repentance to fall upon him. We believe that as he turns away from his sin and turns towards Christ, he will find true freedom.

For the grandchildren, we've been interceding for them too. We're asking God to be their Father where their earthly father has failed them. We're praying for godly influences in their lives, for their hearts to be healed, and for them to know the love of their Heavenly Father.

And for you, dear mother and grandmother, we're asking God to strengthen you. We know this has been a long and hard journey, but we believe that God is going to renew your hope and give you wisdom in how to love your son without enabling his sin. We're praying for boundaries and grace to coexist in your heart.

We're standing with you in faith, believing that God is going to move in your family's life. We're declaring life, healing, and restoration over them, trusting that they will not be defined by their past, but by the redemptive work of Christ.

Keep holding on, dear friend. We're in this together, and we're believing God for a miracle. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
