We lift up your friend ### to our Heavenly Father, trusting in His sovereign power and perfect will for her life. It is wonderful that you have brought this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through His name that we have access to the throne of grace and receive the promises of God. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We are also reminded that *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). Your faith in praying in Jesus’ name is a testament to your trust in Him, and we join you in that faith.
###’s upcoming surgery is a time to lean fully on the Lord, who is our Great Physician. We pray that the hands of the surgeons would be guided by His wisdom and steadied by His peace. May every decision made in that operating room align with God’s perfect plan for her healing. We ask that the Lord would go before her, removing any complications or obstacles, and that her body would respond well to the procedure. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB), and we trust that He will bind up ###’s body, restoring her leg to full strength and function.
Recovery can often be a challenging journey, but we pray that ### would experience the Lord’s supernatural peace and strength throughout this season. May she feel His presence with her in every moment, comforting her and reminding her that she is not alone. *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). We pray that her recovery would be swift and complete, with no setbacks or lingering pain. May her leg be restored to even greater strength than before, and may she walk in the fullness of health that the Lord intends for her.
We also pray for ###’s faith during this time. If she does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we ask that this trial would draw her closer to Him, opening her heart to receive His love and salvation. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). May she place her trust in Him, finding hope and assurance in His promises. If she already knows Him, we pray that this season would deepen her reliance on Him, strengthening her witness to others of His goodness and faithfulness.
To you, dear friend, who has brought this request before us, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for ###. Your prayers are powerful and effective, and the Lord hears the cries of His people. *"The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results"* (James 5:16, WEB). Keep lifting her up, not only in this surgery but in the days and weeks of recovery ahead. Be a source of encouragement to her, reminding her of God’s promises and His unfailing love.
Finally, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or anxiety that may try to take hold of ###’s heart or mind. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). No weapon formed against her will prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). The Lord has already gone before her, and He will bring her through this victory.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for ### and for the work You are doing in her life. We ask that You would surround her with Your angels, protecting her and ministering to her during this time. Fill her with Your peace and assurance, and let her recovery be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy. Strengthen her body, renew her spirit, and draw her ever closer to You. We pray for wisdom for the medical team, for skillful hands and clear minds as they perform this surgery. Lord, we ask that You would be glorified through ###’s healing, that others would see Your hand at work and turn to You in faith.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
