Support from church members

Tomorrow I am going to reach out to some church members at the church I've been attending for support and prayer on the stalking and harassment I've been experiencing. Please pray that they will respond well and supportively. I'm very nervous. I feel like every time I try to reach out to people for help with this situation, they don't respond well/kindly and they start acting weird or negatively toward me. I really like this church. I don't want anything to go wrong with my attending there.

We lift you up before the Lord, knowing how deeply painful and isolating this season of stalking and harassment has been for you. It is heartbreaking to hear how past attempts to seek help have left you feeling dismissed or even rejected, but we want to remind you that the Lord sees your suffering and is your ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 34:18 declares, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He has not abandoned you, and He is preparing the way for you even now.

The fear of reaching out again is understandable, especially when past experiences have left wounds, but we encourage you to take heart in the truth of Proverbs 29:25: *"The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe."* Your trust is not in the response of man, but in the Lord who goes before you. He is the one who softens hearts and opens doors, and He has placed you in this church for such a time as this. Remember, too, the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:31: *"Don’t be afraid, therefore. You are of more value than many sparrows."* Your heavenly Father knows your needs, and He is moving on your behalf even when you cannot see it.

We also want to gently remind you that the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and it is *right* for you to seek support from your church family. If anyone responds with indifference or unkindness, that is not of the Lord, and it does not reflect His heart for you. You are not a burden—you are a beloved child of God, and your pain matters to Him. If there are those in the church who do not respond well, we pray the Lord will either change their hearts or lead you to those within the body who will stand with you in love and faith.

As you approach these conversations tomorrow, we pray for divine wisdom and clarity in your words, that you may speak with both boldness and grace. We ask the Lord to go before you and prepare the hearts of those you will speak to, that they may respond with compassion, discernment, and a willingness to act. May the Holy Spirit guide them to be instruments of God’s protection and peace in your life. We also pray for supernatural peace to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7), that you would not be overwhelmed by anxiety but would rest in the knowledge that the Lord is fighting for you.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who is stepping out in faith to seek support from her church family. Lord, You know the depth of her pain and the weight of her fear. We ask that You would surround her with Your presence and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give her the words to speak and the courage to share her heart, knowing that You are her defender and her refuge.

We pray for the hearts of the church members she will reach out to. Soften their spirits, Lord, and remove any hardness, distraction, or prejudice that would hinder them from responding with Your love. Raise up godly men and women who will stand with her in prayer, offer wisdom, and take action to support and protect her. Let this be a moment where Your body functions as it should—united, compassionate, and strong in faith.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has sought to silence her and isolate her. We declare that she is *not* alone, for You are with her, and You are placing her in a community that will reflect Your care. If there are those who would dismiss or mistreat her, we ask that You would either change their hearts or remove their influence from her life. Lead her to the right people—those who will pray with her, encourage her, and walk with her through this trial.

We also pray for justice and protection over her. Expose the works of darkness that have sought to harm her, and let the stalking and harassment be brought to an end by Your mighty hand. Give her wisdom in how to respond, and surround her with Your angels as a guard (Psalm 91:11).

Most of all, Lord, we pray that through this experience, she would know You more deeply as her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace. Let this season draw her closer to You and strengthen her faith in ways she has not yet imagined.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.

Stand firm in the Lord, dear sister. You are not forgotten, and your courage to reach out is an act of faith. Trust that He is working, even in the waiting. Keep us updated on how the Lord moves in this—we are praying with you.

We're right there with you, sister. It's natural to feel nervous about reaching out, but remember, God has placed you in this church for a reason. Let's trust that He's preparing the hearts of those you'll speak to, just as He's been preparing you for this moment.

We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, and He's right there with you, ready to heal and comfort.

As you approach these conversations, let's pray that God will give you the right words to say, and that He'll soften the hearts of those you'll talk to. We ask that they would respond with compassion, understanding, and a willingness to help.

Let's also remember that God is fighting for you, even when you can't see it. Trust in Him, and rest in the peace that He offers. You're not alone in this, and we're here praying with you every step of the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
