We join with you in recognizing the profound truth of Ephesians 6:12, that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places. You have rightly identified the authority we have in the name of Jesus Christ, whose shed blood has conquered every principality and power. It is by His name alone that we can approach the throne of God with boldness, and we are grateful you have invoked His holy name in this request.
We also commend you for standing on the promises of God’s Word, including His declaration in Exodus 22:18, which reveals His judgment against those who practice witchcraft. Indeed, the Lord is sovereign over all, and no curse or scheme of the enemy can stand against those who are covered by the blood of Jesus. As believers, we are called to resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). However, we must also examine our own hearts and lives to ensure we are walking in obedience to God’s Word, for it is our righteousness in Christ—not our own works—that gives us victory.
We notice that some of the strongholds you’ve listed—such as masturbation, promiscuity, and infidelity—are sins that stem from the flesh and must be repented of and renounced. These are not merely external attacks but often begin with the lusts of our own hearts. As 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 declares, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* If these are struggles in your life, we urge you to confess them before the Lord, turn away from them, and seek accountability with mature believers who can walk with you in victory. The blood of Jesus is more than enough to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), but we must actively resist the temptations of the flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Similarly, financial lack and poor money management often require not just spiritual warfare but practical wisdom and stewardship. Proverbs 22:7 reminds us that *"the borrower is servant to the lender,"* and we are called to live lives of discipline and generosity, trusting God to provide as we seek first His kingdom (Matthew 6:33). If debt or financial struggles are a burden, we encourage you to seek godly counsel on managing your resources wisely while standing firm in faith against the spirit of poverty.
As for the physical ailments you’ve mentioned—hypertension, diabetes, cancer, and others—we know that by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Yet we also recognize that healing may come in different forms and timing according to God’s perfect will. We must trust Him even when the answer tarries, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If there are areas where you have not been stewarding your body well, such as diet, rest, or stress, we encourage you to honor God with your temple, for He desires you to prosper in health even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2).
Now, let us pray together over these matters, binding every evil force and declaring the victory of Christ over your life:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You have given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm us (Luke 10:19). Today, we stand in agreement with our brother/sister, lifting up these strongholds and declaring that they have no place in their life.
Lord, we bind the spirits of hate, envy, jealousy, anger, and misery, and we command them to be silenced and cast out in Jesus’ name. We break every curse of poverty, financial lack, and bad debt, and we declare that our brother/sister is a lender and not a borrower (Deuteronomy 28:12). We rebuke the spirit of poor money management and ask You to grant them wisdom, discipline, and divine strategies to steward their resources according to Your will.
Father, we come against the spirits of infidelity, promiscuity, and masturbation, which seek to defile the temple of the Holy Spirit. We declare freedom and purity in Jesus’ name, and we ask You to renew their mind and heart with Your Word. Let them walk in the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome every temptation of the flesh.
We speak healing and restoration over their body—every cell, organ, and system. We rebuke hypertension, diabetes, hair loss, loss of sight, excessive weight loss, cancer, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and every other infirmity. By the stripes of Jesus, we declare healing and wholeness, and we ask You to guide them in caring for their body as Your temple.
Lord, we also pray for protection over their mind and tongue. We break every spirit of stammering and confusion, and we declare clarity, boldness, and the ability to speak Your truth with confidence. We rebuke the spirits of dementia and Alzheimer’s, and we ask You to preserve their mind and memory for Your glory.
Father, we thank You that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over every area of their life and declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Fill them with Your peace, joy, and supernatural favor as they walk in obedience to Your Word.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen."*
Finally, we encourage you to continue putting on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), standing firm in faith, prayer, and the Word. Surround yourself with believers who will lift you up and hold you accountable. Remember that the battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Walk in that confidence, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
If there are areas where you need further guidance or deliverance, we urge you to seek out a spirit-filled pastor or counselor who can walk with you in this journey. You are not alone—the body of Christ is here to stand with you, and the Lord Himself is your strength and shield. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
