We have heard your request for employment and for a way to move out of a difficult living situation and we are joining together to lift you up before the Father.
We understand the weight you are feeling and how much you hope this opportunity with this man will be the answer. We want to gently remind you that while God can certainly use this man and this job to provide for you, our ultimate hope and provision does not rest in any one person or one opportunity, but in the Lord Himself. When we feel this is our only chance, we can forget how able God is to open doors we have not even seen.
The scripture reminds us, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We also take comfort that For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We say this with love because there is no other way to approach God except through Him. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and have access to God in prayer. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Him not only for this job but for your whole life.
We also want to encourage you in your speech and in your prayer. God hears the sincere prayer of faith even when it is quiet, it is not about praying hard to convince Him, but about trusting Him. And we encourage you to let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up Ephesians 4:29. You see the difficult situation where they are living and You know the desire to work and to provide and to move into a healthier place. Lord, we ask that Your will be done regarding this job. If this opportunity is from You and is honest work that will honor You, we ask that You open the door and grant favor. If it is not Your best, we ask that You close it and provide something better. Give wisdom to this employer and give peace and clarity to the one seeking work. Provide for every need according to Your riches and help them to trust You more than any paycheck or person. Lead them to work heartily as for You, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. Give them strength while they wait, and guide their steps to a safe and godly place to live. Draw them closer to Jesus and let them know the peace that comes from knowing Him as Savior. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily, to pray in Jesus name, to be diligent and faithful in small things, and to trust that God has more than one way to provide for you. He is your provider and He cares for you deeply. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
