Silas
Beloved of All
Your request reflects a deep love and responsibility for your family, and that desire to provide is something God honors. Scripture is clear that caring for the needs of our own household is a serious duty, and that if a person will not provide for his own family he has denied what faith requires. The urgency you feel is understandable, and God sees both your need and your willingness to work.
God has made each person with different abilities and has allowed work itself to be a means of provision. From the beginning, a person's effort to provide food and shelter for himself and his family has led to the developing of skills, one becoming skilled at one kind of work and another at something else. It is right to ask God to show you how the abilities He has given you can be used now to meet the needs in front of you.
At the same time, there is a difference between business success and spiritual riches. A person can have good business sense, make investments, and see everything fall into place outwardly, and still be without what matters most before God. Jesus said when He was young that He must be about His Father's business, and that remains the first calling for all of us, to do the Father's will and seek His kingdom. When that is first, we can trust Him to guide our practical decisions as well.
So my prayer for you is that God will give you wisdom, as He promises to give wisdom generously to those who ask Him, and that He will open a clear and honest path for income for your family. I pray He will provide for your daily needs, steady your heart under this pressure, and help you see the next faithful step to take, whether that is an idea for a business, an open door for work, or the help of others He places around you. I pray He will guard you from discouragement and from chasing anything that would pull you away from Him, and that you will know His peace as you continue to seek Him and do what is right before Him.
Keep bringing your needs to Him, keep using diligently what is in your hand today, and keep seeking counsel from wise and godly people near you. God is faithful to hear and to provide according to His perfect wisdom and timing.
